From what I've seen you have a fair number of talented players* who don't seem to have a game plan when they get onto the pitch. Tough few months ahead but both Blackpool and West Brom appear to have timed their descent towards relegation perfectly. * I'm excluding your defence
  2. Massive three points for Blues and next three games all at home against Stoke, Newcastle and West Brom.
  3. The forthcoming album from Bright Eyes.
  4. Their home form is fine, away they are shocking. And Doyle was out for a while earlier this season - his return has made a difference.
  5. Who then legged it away from the scene. Guilty!
  6. Sean, are you forgetting Bendtner being felled by a light breeze last week? But looking at that second penalty, if he did give it against Rosicky, it's quite amazing from his position on the other side of the goal (and in line) unless the linesman indicated the push.

  8. I'm out. Fecking useless V*!!a.

  10. Some very (and refreshingly) honest views expressed here. Torres interview from Independent
  11. Some of the calls now are so ludicrous that I am forced to agree with Alan Green's responses. And he is an arch-tosser.
  12. I was brought up well.
  13. I'll go for Ast*n V!lla in the first round. If I go through, I can ignore them in subsequent rounds; if I got out I will blame them! Win/win as they say.
  14. Stanley Victor Collymore does a pretty decent job as a summariser - talks commons sense and has clearly done his background work on teams (which is more than a lot of pundits and journalists do).
  15. And guess who's Mr February in the Toon calendar. http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs794.ash1/168421_10150170616088079_626123078_8649821_5905828_n.jpg
  16. El Hadji Diouf on way to Rangers just in time for Saturday's cup match.
  17. Not much finalised at present but Konchesky has gone to Forest on loan. Strange rumour circulating that Seb Larsson is going to Man City on loan from Birmingham. Methinks this actually started on a fans forum and has now taken root in the media but I could be wrong.
  18. Yep, I meant Brighton. Gus Poyet seems to have the footballing side heading in the right direction. When is the move to the new ground due?
  19. Stoke will be a tough and physical encounter for Brighton but I think it offers them a reasonable chance to get to the QFs.
  20. Agreed - absolutely superb for Crawley. And big draw for the 'O's at home to Arsenal.
  21. Absolutely. You never know, if we play like we did in the second hald and extra time, we might even give you a decent game. Feeling tired and weary at my desk this morning.
  22. As a non-neutral, I agree with you SP. Similar to the first game in some ways, Birmingham only came to life in the second half. But proper cup football. Emotional stuff at St Andrews tonight. And in the surrounding pubs afterwards.
  23. I was half-expecting Keys to come out with the Big Ron line of "If anything, I think I've over-apologised".
  24. Big game tonight at St Andrews. There's an air of discord at the club at the moment with the fans being critical of McLeish's tactics and player choice, questions over the true ownership of the club in China following a further suspension of the holding company's shares on the HK stock exchange, an almost farcical transfer window with the non-signing of a much needed goal scorer and vice-chairman Peter Pannu hitting back strongly at fans in an email printed verbatim in the 'local' paper. Meanwhile, were just one game from Wembley with just West Ham Olympic and out former owners standing in our way and a good chance that the losing manager will be out of work by the end of the week. Feel nervous and excited at same time, but it's games like these that make following Blues worthwhile.
  25. Absolutely - but helped by the opposition not turning up. Could easily have been many, many more than five. Nani was superb. So easy that United had the luxury of bringing on Michael Owen with over half an hour to go.
