Two votes for the Blues to go down!! I think not - astute signings at the back in Hart, Dann and Johnson. Pompey (given their current position) and Hull (to continue where they left off). Think Burnley will lack enough experience and quality, especially at back (though I like what Owen Coyle has done at the club).

Owen - hasn't been able to prove his at Newcastle. Any club taking him on at present know that it would be a risk - hence Hull's (alleged) appearance/goals based offer. And Capello is right not to pick him for England at present. As for James, sure he's faulted but just shows that the other contenders aren't good enough and probably never will be at the highest level.

Are these the leaflets/letters inviting us, the public, to tea/coffee meetings with Tessa Jowell - I've received at least a couple. The most recent also asked for views on local primary education (I think).

In effect only one game has been scrapped over Christmas as we have the FAC on 2 January. Even with 2 games in 3 days there'll be clubs who moan about playing games so close together...As for midweek games, two before Christmas and two after doesn't seem so bad. The ones after Christmas are in London which is a bonus.

Do object to opening and closing fixtures both being away - especially as the season ends on a poxy retail estate near Horwich. Seem to remember a couple of years back having consecutive league games against the big 4, only punctuated by our annual failure in the FA cup.
