I wouldn't worry about that in the slightest. You'll get 6 years use out of that iMac for sure, if not more. The latest update is just a slight increase in processor power ? for home usage you wouldn't be able to perceive the difference it makes.

There's no doubt, the carpets and upholstery need a deep clean, or replacement. I also agree that the attitude of the staff could be improved upon, this is something that seems to have worsened in the recent past. BUT, I still visit the cinema most weeks, and am very grateful that it exists. This is because; the ticket price is amazingly low, I find the sound and projection to be more than adequate, and most importantly, that a very good range of films are offered. There are interesting selections most weeks; films I have seen there this year include; Wadja, Mud, Side Effects, Trance, The Place Beyond the Pines, Behind the Candelabra, and The Iceman. These are not pop-corn blockbuster movies, there seems to be a genuine and sustained effort to screen films for a discerning, cine-literate audience. I do sympathise with ash77; turning up for a film that was listed but not screened must have been very frustrating. But I can testify that I have never had this experience in 15 years of using the cinema.

Actually, I also agree with miga that it is now a simulacrum of a pub, but I don't think that's a good thing.

Do you mean, when compared to other discussions about bottled urine? -
"GOING UP? GOING UP? GOING UP? GOING UP" You mean that lift?

Strange bottles full of orange liquid
tfm33 replied to tarafitness's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We have just moved to Ladywell Road, SE13, and I've just found one of these bottles in our front garden. It's a small soft drinks bottle, full of a liquid that looks exactly like urine to me. Has anyone started plotting these on a map? p.s. The taxi driver theory seems plausible, by why would they not place them into the nearest wheelie bin? -
This shows that East Dulwich is within the parish of St. John the Evangelist, but that doesn't end the debate; the neighbouring parish of St. Giles contains Camberwell and Denmark Hill, and they're distinct locales aren't they? > > You can see the northern boundary of East Dulwich > Parish. > > You can also see that Bellenden Village (South of > Choumert Road) was built in East Dulwich. > > John K

I second this; John, can you show us your evidence please? Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > So John, can you show us where it says that > Bellenden is part of ED? Sorry if you've already > done so elsewhere, but I've not seen it.

There is nothing wrong with being a Millwall season ticket holder. There is something distinctly wrong with referring to oneself in the third person. DulwichFox Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > The Fox is a Millwall Season Ticket holder.. > > Fox.

Hard times in Nike's PR department. Budgets slashed since the whole Armstrong affair?
-
10 years ago it was still a Millwall pub, it's changed hands since then!

Did you just anthropomorphize an internet forum?

I know exactly where it is, it starts at Peckham High Street, runs past Peckham Rye station, and is in Peckham.
-
Well I've lived here all my adult life, so yes.
-
woah woah woah, since when is Bellenden road a part of East Dulwich?
-
Well I do hope that I'm not one of your neighbours, Penguin68.

The incident has been reported to the police.

Has anyone else in East Dulwich answered the door to a guy offering to trim their hedge, or similar enquiry? He's called here twice now, once before Christmas, and once today. He has no tools with him, and upon his second visit, I felt suspicious, so watched him from the front window. He walked a few doors up the road, and then stared back at me for a full minute. He is a white male in his late 50's in a sky blue hat. He spoke with an Irish accent and was wearing metal-framed glasses.

Small black and white dog, a terrier I think, found on Friern Road this morning. We've had to take her in since she was playing with the traffic. Please help us to find her owner! Thanks.

That's him! Thanks so much TarahC! His owner has just collected him, he's about to be reunited with his brother at home who had been missing him for 3 days.

Extremely talkative, skinny black cat found in Friern Road yesterday. Has an ID collar, but the tag is missing. Small bell on collar too. Would be very grateful of any assistance in finding it's proper home.
