  1. Ah yes, good spot! Thanks for the link. It sounds like they are planning a licensed restaurant with a small bar from reading through the application.
  2. I saw a notice on the window of the old Dulwich Beer Dispensary a couple of days ago - it. It seems as though a company called Kalea Kitchen Ltd are taking over the premises. By the looks of the application notice, it’ll only be open at the weekends. Anyone know any details?
  3. There are loads of options around ED. There’s an app called ZapMap, which is a good place to start, it’ll show you all of the local charging spots. best value / most convenient are chargers built into lampposts. There are tons of these around ED, so hopefully there will be some local to you. They are slow (7kw) but relatively cheap for charging overnight. The source London chargers are fine, but you do need to sign up via their website. You can start charging with your phone. if you want rapid/ultra rapid chargers, Tessa Jowel Health Centre have 2, and a couple of options in Forest Hill on the south circular. These are generally quite expensive. The Sainsbury’s ones have not worked in a very long time. Hope that helps
  4. Hi all, I’ve been having a look at the map of the changes and I’m struggling to understand what the proposed changes hope to achieve? I can see that there are lots of other alternative routes for people to drive to reach the school, so am not sure how this puts people off closing only that specific section of road. Is some one with a better understanding able to explain the issues with that particular bit of road and what the council believe (rightly or wrongly) will be achieved?
  5. We also have no off street parking, and it?s generally fine. The lamppost chargers don?t have reserved spaces next to them for EVs though, so it can be a frustrating experience trying to find one that isn?t blocked by parked cars. Has anyone else had this experience? We had an Audi etron (150 mile range) and it was no where near enough. Have just switched to VW ID.4 that has almost double the range, and it makes a big difference in how often we need to charge. It will of course depend on how and where you need to drive to, but I came to the conclusion range was the most important factor when choosing the car, and everything else came second
  6. A little bit late to the party. We live in a maisonette in a small block, Southwark Council are the few holders. For us, the experience has been fine. The service charges are reasonable, the ground rent is virtually non existent, and the council have generally been good at responding to queries and issues. As with any leasehold, there are things about your property that you don?t have control over, which can be frustrating, but the flip side is that you pay a lot less for the property in the first place. For us it was an obvious choice, we live in a great area, in a nice, well maintained property, which we otherwise wouldn?t have been able to afford. I think as long as you set your expectations correctly, read the lease carefully before agreeing to it, you?ll be fine. There are always risks with any type of property. Just my two cents, as we?ve been happy.
