  1. who cares? they look great
  2. Excellent - shared to FB!
  3. That's a real shame....sadly I think there are more people who use the park for their BBQ's with little concern for the damage or mess they leave behind. I was walking early this morning and the mess left by people who had not BBQ'ed but eaten take-away food and drink by the enclosed picnic area around the benches was disgusting. Such a shame but a few idiots tarnish the use of our great parks for the rest of us.
  4. ?38 level 1 and ?50 Director
  5. As the first customer at The Galleon today I can report a great experience: Lovely and relaxed, very funny and friendly owners, stylish (if a little unfinished) interior and a fantastic haircut at the end. Already had loads of compliments and have passed on details. Director's cut a little pricier than other hairdressers but first 3 visits are with 10% discount - and all on my doorstep. Fabulous! I will definitely be back....
  6. Yes that's because it's "scoop the poop" awareness time by various organisations who've had enough of this (dog) shit.
  7. We had no service 2 days ago for approx 7 hours. Other than that can't fault them. Excellent customer service (annoying recorded voice...) Was with BT before - crap. And expensive compared to their competitors.
  8. Living on Overhill Road is a bit like being in the countryside compared to living closer to Lordship Lane. Plus it is Equidistant from Peckham Rye and Duwlich parks and Cox's Walk, the P13 which takes you v quickly to Lordship Lane and Bellenden Road, superb views, no parking restrictions, friendly neighbours, lovely big houses (ditto flat conversions) and trees everywhere. In my view, that is what is meant by 'sought after'. When I lived on Goodrich I couldn't hear birdsong nearly as much as here. Before I had a car I used to walk up and down the hill which is tricky with several dogs and shopping etc but it dunnarf get you fit!
  9. what makes a Road particularly 'amazing'...?
  10. no probs! hahaha
  11. I feel I should introduce you to this analytically in-depth site...It uses clever psychology and really works! http://shouldireadthedailymail.com/
  12. diners have described it exactly as I imagined it to be; it just never looked too inviting which it obviously was, according to the testimonies. I'm really sorry I didn't go now and bon chance to Eric and Margaret whatever they do!
  13. It's set in King's A&E, Camberwell....

  17. and cue lots of 'my ex was a dog / pig ' type posts.
  18. will get brining then, thanks for the tip AC
  19. @AnnetteCurtain - it's probably taken me the same amount of time to read this hiLARIOUS post (Louisa: so good she signs her name twice) as it has for you to make that deelish offering! Jealous, and will take inspiration for BBQ tomorrow. I'll be inviting my neighbour who sells Street haute-dogs for ?6-?12 although I've never had one for more than ?4. Love street food and could go on but am exhausted by the abject misery of certain posters...anyway enjoy that. nom nom....
  20. Yet again on the good ol' EDF - it's turned into an anti dog rant. FFS people get a grip! We'll be talking about poo next.
  21. ...can I just say how utterly delicious it was! He gave me two big chunks last Friday and I had it with a nice pot of Earl Grey. Heaven - thank you!
  22. Well said DJKQ - by far the most thoughtful and measured post thus far.
  23. No-one said we were forced to read it - but the original title was ambivalent. And "literally carpeted"....? Dogs are getting cleverer and cleverer.
