  1. Yes. Dogs shit - end of! If we keep dogs, it's up to us to clear it away. I think there's been a spate of "cool dog" ownership. In particular Akitas and other wolf-Like doggies. Is there a programme on TV?
  2. Merry Christmass everyone wherever, and whoever you may be! X
  3. Couldn't agree more: sylvester road sorting staff are charming, smiley, cheerful always. Sadly this time of year brings out the worst in people. Yesterday evening there was a woman being incredibly rude and demanding to the staff at the tills in cop-op on FH rd. Totally unnecessary.
  4. Looks lush to me...look forward to trying it out
  5. Hardly an essay Louisa. Glad it ruffled your feathers, though.
  6. This is the second time you've mentioned carb-filled food, Louisa. Do you like pasta/sandwiches/crisps/chips/kebabs? No? That's ok then. Oh yes - you do like italian food, but only when it's from the 1980s, and therefore carb (and pretentious) free. You really are tedious, odious and snobbish. Your obsession with the 'guardianista' (whatever that actually means) is all of the above. I'm listening to Puccini as I write this but if I wrote it yesterday, I would have been listening to eminen - not cool, I know, but I don't give a shit. Does that make me pretentious, too? I read the times, sometimes the telegraph and sometimes even the guardian. not because that's me demographically but because it's what takes my fancy at the weekend. I hardly ever eat out because I'm single and on a very low income, but when I do, I bloody love really tasty food. Why shouldn't we? And please don't ever extol the virtues of that sweaty greasy manzes in peckham. If that's what you love? Fantastic - knock yourself out. Some of us enjoy new delicious styles of cooking - beautifully cooked and presented - once in a blue moon. Please stop using words like guardianista and pretentious - I'm pretty sure the EDF ers are far too over you to even be bothered, but it makes you look stupid and narrow minded.
  7. I know....enough about the effing curries / eating out every night already!
  8. It was awful. There is a reason these places close down...
  9. Well said monica, and best of luck to burro e salvia!
  10. I got a text from Thames water letting me know. Saw the water gushing down the street and now they're drilling to try to solve the problem. There are ovens or take- aways so I'm sure kids will live without their pasta..it really isn't the end of the world
  11. Another recommendation for Laura and garden service. After a fair few unsuccessful attempts to find someone for some basic mowing and maintenance, I can highly recommend Laura. Quick, reasonably priced and actually knows what she's doing. Will be using her on a regular basis.
  12. Strange that someone who doesn't drive, or have any of his own equipment can get so many recommendations. Must be superhuman - Good luck!
  13. Totally agree with KK and Alex K; it's your money. A dwelling is only worth what someone wants to pay for it: ?2,100 per year service charge? Please....
  14. Oh goodie. Another thread about dog poo. Louisa: lol
  15. All good in overhill since 2. So glad I went out, forgetting to switch the taps off. It's probably me draining all the supply....
  16. Apparently Sell-By dates on all packets of Walkers crisps (other crisps are available) fall on a Saturday...
  17. @Rita446 - "A nervous break because of mouse and rats"... My advice? Write to all the MP to disinfectant all of london before a disease arrives.
  18. I didn't realise foreign was a dirty word
  19. eh? No they didn't sorry! Did they? Two Trees? I missed that, then....
  20. Totally agree: Like the Turkish shop, Love Kim @ Libretto's - shop there every saturday. And had many a good night at Two Trees....don't know what went wrong, because food was delish.
  21. em ED I agree totally although I think this is possibly addressed in another thread. I hate flyers of any kind - and no: Greasy Chicken vendors are not better than those trying to persuade you to one political party or another. I live in a great street in ED with stunning houses but sadly cannot afford a house/front door re-paint or patio touch-up. I used to pay someone ?15 to mow front and back lawns (it is a shared victorian conversion and I am the only one bothered about the garden looking acceptable). I can't believe that some people have actually apologised for their houses looking below par. You should have tried leafletting 20 years ago; to call East Dulwich slum-like is disengenuous and, frankly, offensive.
  22. I'm with James on that one; makes total sense to me as an irritation worthy of a post
  23. "People eating smelly food, babies and prams..." ?? No wonder you're hacked off! Or, did you mean mums with prams making, "a song and dance getting on and off"? I hear ya! And the time it takes those irritating people in wheelchairs to get on and off; making the bus wait, and go up and down and make an annoying beeping sound...really makes for an unpleasant day in the world of jolly smiley meejah, doesn't it?
