Don't go....Full of over-tanned plastic people. THe difference between the have and have-nots is extraordinary. And as for their attitude to wildlife - wandering with a baby croc whose mouth was bound shut and screaming, and toting for money to have your photo with it in miami harbour really not my bag. Then there's Little Havana - where you can go and take photos of all the little Cubans, Oh the ghettos! you mustn't miss those! Then there's all the "woo-hooing" by women with long talons, deep deep tans, face lifts and cocktails around the beach/pool.....ugh One good thing: The buses!! At least they wait until you sit down before they pull off, not like they do here!!

Very well said - although it's very distressing to be on the receiving end of an attack from any type of dog, all the staffies I know are brilliant especially with children and there's far too much staffie-bashing on here. I know more labradors with more aggression.

Oh Goodie - ANOTHER thread about dog poo. -
how awful for you!! Hopefully you'll get the thirst for wine back again once your 1 yr old becomes more steady as you continue to drink more beer. The Bishop has a really long run where he/she can practise walking. Always thought 'energetic 4 year olds' preferred adventure playgrounds.

The OP never said he was in the pub today. Lots of people drink in the day on a Saturday... I enjoyed being in the pub garden as a child - The Grove Tavern mainly. Beats being left in the car with the dog, a bottle of coke and plain crisps.

Yapping dogs every evening in Friern Road
tallulah71 replied to russia's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Anyway, you sound a reasonable chap to me so we agree, a bit of give and take all round is all that's needed- dogs left to bark for several hours at a time are most likely very bored and are an animal welfare issue. totally agree. @ Orlakeily - i'm assuming you're not ACTUALLY Orla Keily. Those bags weren't even cool first time round. (Sorry Orla) -
By the sounds of things, I reckon you should stick to where you were....

More Dogs in Peckham Rye Park
tallulah71 replied to the-e-dealer's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Good suggestion about voluntary park wardens First Mate but we already have them, dog walkers, joggers, footballers, kids in the skate park etc.............. the eyes and ears of Peckham Rye Park! I donned my voluntary warden's hat last Monday morning about 8am. When I saw a woman open the picnic area to let her staffie in to run around and relieve herself as she chatted on her mobile, I said to her, "you do know dogs aren't allowed in the picnic area?", she said, "I CAN READ!" Oh. There you go then. Not much you can say to that! I see Mark all the time - the last time I chatted to him was when a dog-owner was hurling abuse at him, and calling him a moron. Lovely. There's some odd people about.... -

Come on....just cos you're a bloke you have to pee up a tree, while throwing away your chicken bones...? -

maxxi - how do you pronounce 'buek'....??? And why is it OK if you're from Alice Springs? I thought people saying 'I' instead of 'me' was bad enough....now I've got YOU lot to deak with as well.....bloody Nora. -
Aah - nice topic - one close to my heart. In my humble, researched opinion: Gowlett: best-tasting if you like thin and crispy and a wait for freshly prepared gorgeousness Actress: very close 2nd - love the potatoes/rosemary one against all previous suspicions Firezza: nah Dominoes: great when hangover is so much you cannot leave the house. It is what it is. @ Alan Medic: Since when was a whole pizza (of any size) been too much? *sighs at overly large pizza-loving tummy*

@ Ridgley - if it's good quality music you're after, then tune in to BBC 6 music. I particularly like Sundays with Cerys who plays everything from Bluegrass to Dub - her latest album is lovely - and then you have the gorgeous Huey Morgan afterwards playing old classics. Happy listening.

I was there too on Sat opp. the garden and the group with my dogs letting them into the pond to get cool. Them having been pulled away from sausages/floating dalmations/getting told off for knocking over beer/not winning prizes/in and out of dog-ring in 25 degree heat and not allowed to eat their and others' goodies. Aforementioned group had a really over-friendly dog who kept knicking our ball, and humping my little dog. But hey! They're dogs. When the sun is out, let play commence!! No-one was hurt. After a while, 2 more black labs came to join in. Loads of fun and laughter. Not sure when anti-dog 'investigative' photographer turned up. Thankfully, we'd gone. -

People who say "I" instead of "me". E.G, "That ice-cream's for her and I".....Take out the 'Her' and you're saying, "it's for I". Should be, "her and me". "This area really suits Simon and I".....no it doesn't, it suits "Simon and me". "This has been a real learning curve for Gill and I, because...." GILL AND ME! (All real statements) "He and I love these kids" - OK. take out "He" and I still love the kids! SIMPLES -
Bought King Creosote and John Hopkins cd (for my dad) then downloaded the same from Spotify after having heard them on 6 music couple of months ago. I can't stop listening to it - Stunning. Agree about Adele - lovely songs beautifully sung. But not.....groundbreaking. PJ Harvey always has been. Loving Metronomy too!! So exciting...
