Well said Loz and Saila...

I think you're being deliberately antagonistic. A woman has had a vicious attack, and is probably hurt and extremely traumatised - I know I bloody well would be - and all you can worry about is the fact that the OP mentioned, having witnessed the attack, that the assailants were black. Well, blow me. If I read that "3 black youths...." I (maybe wrongly) am going to assume they were blokes. The OP probably would have mentioned if they were girls, as attacks are USUALLY made by blokes. I think you need to get over yourself and have some respect for the victim.

That's awful - poor woman. Makes me sick... Of course you need to mention their ethnicity as an ingtegral part of an accurate description - What's the matter with you? Tall? Short? Ginger? Fat? skinny? Glasses? Black? What's the difference? I think they lost their rights to 'political correctness' the day they chose to kick and punch a lone defenceless woman for a handbag.

The only good thing I remember about the Irish festival is how much it peed off Peter & Frances when they ran the Clockhouse. He admitted to me that he hated the Irish but they spent a lot of money that weekend so he was stuck between a rock & a hard place. Well said....And I'm Irish (and couldn't stand Frances)

Terrible cinema. Ritzy much better value...

Isn't Burgess Park the South American one? Lots of Irish peeps travel to South America...a great meeting of minds. Great music, fancy dancing, questionable cuisine. Could be a winner!

Great news for Goodrich
tallulah71 replied to Friends of Goodrich's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Congratulations Goodrich! I spent time there gaining invaluable experience in the Nursery - one of the prequisites for the PGCE course many, many years ago. I have since become (no, always have been) a real stickler for grammar.... "Goodrich School has just been awarded", not "Goodrich School have just been awarded"...BUT well done on an amazing job Goodrich!!! I expect a load of abuse - but I do not apologise. English language is what it is. Get it right, and you're laughing. Get it wrong and, well....you're not right. -
Nope....you?
