Are you referring to me jimmyay? I'm neither a moaner, nor an inverted snob. I have no problem with people having money - what I do have a problem with is people applauding the arrival of a 'High Street' shop replacing another high street shop which sells, basically, convenience food. That's what we already have. We also have lots of other great retailers which offer good bread, meat and veg. If it's high street you want, go to Bromley! Personally, I prefer the feel of a neighbourhood full of the 'butcher, baker, candle-stick maker' type shops. Individuality. I have been here all my life, and I totally understand the need for retailers to reflect the changing demographic but M&S doth not a community make. Once Starbucks/Nerro moved in it all went downhill. (Star bucks=universal cash. And SHITE coffee)
