  1. ha ha ha Huggers. Mine too!
  2. sequinstars - I totally agree with you - and I have exactly the same problem with one of my dogs...glad I'm not the only one...it must be how we keep them starved at home ;) I tend to avoid picnic season altogether now!
  3. Hi everyone - Just to let you know, there is a woman: blonde about 30 ish who has a screaming brat in a buggie. Today my dog walked very slowly up to the buggie and had a little sniff in the underneath bit. Her and her male friend kicked my dog away and said, "PUT YOUT DOG ON (Gosh, I shouldn't really repeat this, as she had a child with her) A FUCKING LEAD!" Dear me, I thought as I walked away. How the park has changed. She then ran up towards me saying, "Come here - come here I want to show you something". She then pulled her sunglasses away to reveal a scar which she had received as a result of a dog attack when she was 3 years old. "Because of people like you.." I don't really want to bore everyone with the ensuing interaction, suffice to say her parting words were: "Put it on a lead - this is a park for f***s sake!" Yes, I thought - that's why I'm here! Silly girl. She didn't ask me to put the Jack Russell, Irish Terrier, or South London Terrier on the lead. That's what the world needs: more breeders like her.
  4. Great news...hopefully then it will no longer be referred to as The Vile. Good luck!!
  5. Well said Sheilarose et al - shocking things to say.
  6. 2pm again today. Not booming loud though. Maybe they like loud music while doing housework!
  7. oh no! Poor pup. Well - I'm lookng after a spaniel at the moment, and believe me they like a good bark so give it time!!
  8. I really feel for you...what a hideous thing to have happened. I know this may sound really silly but I am also a little freaked out about the burlgaries of late. 2 of my very close nighbours have been burgled recently. Another much cheaper deterrent is to get a sign somehwere which indicates you have dogs. My friend and I both have them in the window. It is surprsing how people think twice when there is a chance you have guard dogs. Just a thought...

I'd say they're pre-occupied with getting a decent night's sleep so they can do a decent job, and pay their taxes which means people who are pre-occupied with partying during the working day don't have to...And no-one on here has displayed the NIMBY attitude.

  13. I have noticed music blaring out of a house on Dunstans Rd loads of times on my way to the park - and people often emerge looking, erm, wide-eyed. I walk the dogs in the middle of the afternoon too. It's ongoing...I really sympathise with the residents.
  14. you forgot to mention vicadin, and what's that horse one? K? wicked....
  15. loving that!! Also, it's only rain. unless you're a witch you'll survive!! Love it.
  16. I feel for you and admire you. As a responsible multiple-dog-owner, and hater of poo, I feel your pain. Sadly I think people who think it's ok to let their dogs foul the public walkways, where children walk to school, do not read. (was gonna say 'forums', but think I'll leave it at that).
  17. well I can't watch a film with it, that's for sure
  18. don't have kids, tablet or handheld whatever that is. Would love a cinema, thanks!
  19. long hard day = radio, bubbles, book, glass of something nice, candles....bath! Although you can't beat a lovely walk-in. Sorry to be absolutely no help whatsoever!
  20. well - I have eaten 2 servings with double cream and raspberries...have not been as adventurous as I should have, but I have really enjoyed reading all the suggestions and as there is quite a bit left, will definitely refer back!
  21. Paul McGann walking 2 dogs - not in Sainsbury's though. That probably wouldn't be allowed even for him...Pecks Rye.
  22. So sad to hear of this today...deepest condolences to all family and friends.
  23. Thanks Annie x
  24. I'll keep it sweet because I'm already feeling like a plum Baked a choc loaf just now. Easy. Turned it out and it fell apart. Gutted. Tastes good though and seems a shame to throw away - any ideas on how to make it good again? Desserts that call for choc sponge bits? Anyone? x
