Horrible story - we keep our two indoors at night But oh dear - I'm clearly going to be have to be careful how I "speak" to cats when I'm out and about

Hi MikeB This used to be a contraflow route until it was taken out - something about a route for the police to get to riots in central Peckam Remember those riots? - I met police in body armour on that route on this day ..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14452770 mikeb Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Many cyclists head south down Bellenden Road > against the one-way flow from Highshore Road to > Holly Grove. Come down the east side of London - various options on a Sunday including a) through the City and over London Bridge or Tower Bridge (check for openings) b) through Rotherhithe tunnel but look out for works / closures c) M25 / M11 Blackwall Tunnel but look out for works / closures d) M25 / Dartford Crossing (toll) and back in via New Cross and back route to Kings on the Rye etc

On email this am ....................... The Options Assessment Report for the Bakerloo line extension is now available online at tfl.gov.uk/bakerloo-extension. The report considers the possible destinations that were suggested as part of the 2014 public consultation. It also further considers the options presented during the 2014 consultation. A media release regarding the report and the project?s latest status is also available here. https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/media/press-releases/2015/december/bakerloo-line-extension-to-improve-transport-links-in-south-london-by-2030

Unlikely as it increases what is known as the "dwell time" ( time waiting in station ) on what is already a very crowded network in the rush hours... History http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/c/camberwell_new_road/
-
Indeed - as the rush to develop allowed by the City of London to avoid developments going elsewhere shows - eg Chancery Lane http://www.derwentlondon.com/properties/40-chancery-lane https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=developments+in+Chancery+lane&gbv=1&sei=WZGDVoq7Nsf6UPvgh9gH

Re proposed layout - yuk!!! no imagination - surely after 5 years or more training an architect can produce more than a few square boxes - even getting the windows design to echo no 1 would have helped

All cyclists please note the Elephant North Roundabout is becoming a T Junction and changing to two way next Sunday 6/12/2015 - take real care going north and south - left hook danger NOT changed and a right hook danger ADDED Especially note the left turn only lane going north on the link road - keep left only if GOING left up St Georges Road

Not many trains today ...... (Sunday 8th Nov 2015)
nunhead_man replied to nunhead_man's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
In the end my wife went by bus and I cycled as I had to go on elsewhere - was not too bad in the end and could probably have driven and parked with a little walk to destination (a family meal in a restaurant) -
Anyone know if it is possible to park around here on a Sunday afternoon?

hope you are not trying yo gey anywhere by train today And hope you are not in Thurso ..... From http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/today.aspx Engineering work is taking place between Dingwall and Wick/Thurso with all lines closed. Buses replace trains between Dingwall and Wick/Thurso. There will be no service for Altnabreac and passengers to/from Scotscalder should use customer help points or train staff to complete journeys. More seriously from there........ On most weekends, particularly on Sundays, Waterloo East, London Bridge, Charing Cross and / or London Cannon Street stations will be closed or have very limited services. And Engineering work is taking place between Herne Hill/Peckham Rye and Streatham with all lines closed. Southern Buses replace trains between London Bridge and Streatham Common via Tulse Hill/West Norwood. Thameslink The London Bridge to/from Streatham train service will be diverted and run non-stop between London Bridge and Sutton then all stations via St Helier, Wimbledon and Tooting to/from Streatham. Passengers should use local buses or London Underground to complete journeys if travelling to/from stations between London Blackfriars and Herne Hill/Streatham. Buses will run between Streatham and Sutton via Mitcham Junction.

Thanks all - perhaps we ought to ask those involved in the Southwark Cyclists / TFL Road works ride to extend the range to poor management of Southwark TM's (temproary measures).... http://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/southwark-cyclists-tfl-road-works-ride-10th-september-2015/ -
