Just wanted to share a post i saw on neighbourhood nextdoor that was warning dog walkers who walk dogs in peckham rye Park to be vigilant as there has been attempted dog thefts recently. The description at the moment was a little vague as it just said 2 women with children attempted to snatch dog but a dog walker was able to stop them. Hopefully more information will follow but please be careful with your furry friends.

cassidy replied to msamykey's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hope your ok, i know exactly how it feels i was coming home on the number 12 and had my phone taken out of my hand while making a call just as the bus stopped outside the academy in Peckham. The police have been very helpful and indeed there was cctv from the bus but so far no leads. -

Just wondering the reason for identifying your burglers as black that isn't really the point here as the YOS service users will be of all races as the latest news coverage has shown when reporting on the recent riots. No-one ever wants these services on their doorsteps but maybe having it on the outskirts of Peckham means they will hopefully attend appointments without fear of being attacked by other gang members from their local area. -

Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I don't understand why anyone would want one of > these horrid creatures. There are many breeds of dog who are all capable of behaving badly and biting and many do, however there are an equal amount of dogs who in the hands of responsible owners cause no trouble whatsoever it is foolish to condemn a breed just because there has been reports of a small amount of irresponsible owners who do not train or control their dogs properly and allow them to become out of control. There have been far worse incidents reported in the press over the years where the attacks or incidents have involved other breeds then staffs or even bull breeds but it seems like the bull breed have unfortunately been branded one of the worst breeds. I do think the latest incident was unfortunate and i hope the lady in question was not hurt to badly however i do feel that no one really knows why the dog in question bit her and i feel it is totally unnecessary to turn this in to a witch hunt damning all bull breeds without knowing what really went on. It is also worth remembering that the dog in question may be in fact returned to the owner as has happened in the past as it was her dog that bit her she will probably be asked what she wants doing with it and it may very well be her own decision on that issue that determines whether it is destroyed or not.
