  3. Along with actress it was sold to GK. Going back further it was part of Scott's chain. The actress (formerly uplands) was named to go with "actress and bishop ". It got the name Bishop to match Castle in Camberwell. Before that Foresters Arms. This thread may help or confuse https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10052-the-uplands-to-becomelounged/#comment-297733
  4. Or travelodge (what's an odge?)
  5. Wikipedia takes you to https://www.mylondon.news/news/zone-1-news/tfl-bus-routes-scrapped-16134311 2019 (BC - Before COVID)
  6. Remind me - when did the change to 40 happen. It is a reasonable to ask TFL to review the change in practice.
  7. I looked at TFL's website - lots of ways of contacting them but none I couldn't see away of contacting about issues on website (in this case duff data). Anyone able to suggest the "least wrong place".
  8. Possibly a legacy from when no buses went down Rye Lane, Nigel road would have been a the closest. There may be an argument that the diversion of 40 assumes an easy change to other buses, which isnt the case going southbound. How long are the building works at elephant going on for? The stop has been moved twice. One for GLA rather than Southwark
  9. Seconded. There are two stops, - "E&c Newington road" north of the junction - "elephant and castle station P" . which has moved twice and is nowhere near the station. From london bridge you have 35 133 and 343. 35 tends to be crowded. 343 goes from a different stop in tooley st. If i get a 133 i might walk from Newington road to London road and get 40/176 (or 68/468/148)
  10. (or your) life
