  1. It's 3 1/2 weeks. Blank ugly hoardings all round exclusion area. Two gates shut. Obviously unacceptable. Growing arrogance! There have always been fairs, circuses, fetes, festivals, rallies on the common where there is plenty of room and no problems caused. The park belongs to all. We need to see this lot off now.
  2. Actually,it happened so quickly that I didn't realise that the thief had my card. He then watched me put my number in to the machine in and went off and used it. Two notices taped to machine now.
  3. My point is that Barclays are putting vulnerable people at risk by having a cash point that is a known target for theft and by are unhelpful in stopping non customers from using their facilities in the bank.
  4. The cashpoint is exposed on three sides. A year or more ago, I had my card taken by a man who grabbed it after he learnt over and pressed a reject button. This was so quickly done that he got away and took ?250 out at another cashpoint. There is sign there now warning that criminals operate there. Last week, I needed some cash for my disabled mother, so queued inside the bank to avoid the problem. Her card was rejected and I was told that they only accept their own cards.
  5. Honest and thought provoking Sue. The Suffragettes were brave and right. They used illegality politically, in the same way XR do. They accepted it when the authorities upheld the law. That's what they expected, even used in some ways. Is our council and our police force going to uphold the law, make excuses for them? Or are they complicit?
  6. XR's stated aim this weekend and to 17th is to cause maximum unexpected disruption.Camp is a base and also a political presence. Clearly disruption is designed to be provocative and not legal. I have emailed Dulwich Hill councillors to ask them if they support it?
