  2. Nice cheers. I've just been boiling for a couple of minutes in veg stock and chucking on top of puy lentils. Think I'll get a bit more adventurous with it with your suggestions. I vaguely remember that cook book now.

It's well nice, anyone got any good recipes? On a side note I googled cooking with p... And it tried to guess the next word as poo!!
  4. Ha ha that was what the others in the band said! Still felt like a tit though.
  5. Yep - and drinking
  6. I was a drummer in a band at college and for our big end of college celebration we hired a hall in Fairfield halls. I got hammered, stomped on the bass drum pedal so hard that it split the skin. That meant nobody else could play. Whilst I was "performing" I felt nobody was listening. Probably because they were happily spending time with their mates. Anyway after the song I walked up to the mic, said "f*ck all you lot" and walked off. Felt like a complete knob and still feel bad about it now. In fact I declined the reunion as I'm so embarrassed about it.

I don't want for this to turn into the usual race debate but the OP didn't mention that they were black guys did they? Not sure where the assumption came from.
  8. I like them but they look a bit like Ebola!
  9. Bojack Horseman!
  10. It might be people using the astro turf 5 aside. You often get kids / blokes hanging around waiting for mates after football or chatting before or after a game.

  12. I was with a girl who got barred from streatham ice rink in the early 90's because some little shit punched her in the face for no reason so her Dad went running onto the ice picked the little Scrote up by the scruff of his shirt and gave him a slap!! We got chucked out and barred - the horrible little scally got to stay! Where's the justice?

  14. The Sea Cow is rubbish. I've been twice and both times it was crap. First time thought it bland and couldn't understand why it always looked busy. Decided to give it another go, I got haddock and chips, got home to discover they had squished 2 tiny haddock together and passed it off as one. Felt like I'd been mugged off. Never again. (Chips were spongy)
  15. Well I think they're good, but can't imagine them changing their instrumentation. Dubious.
  16. Fair enough. Hope to see people up there next week
  17. Did anyone go to the open mic night at the EDT last night? Was it any good? I wanted to stick around but after the guy running it played about 10 songs I left. Then as I walked past later he was up on stage again. I've not been to many open mic nights but thought the idea was to let people get up and play or jam or whatever. Did anyone else get to play? Not having a dig, I thought he was alright, just hoped to see some local talent. Maybe I should have stuck it out.
  18. No matter how annoying, self righteous or sanctimonious people can get on here you should never leave. It's only a matter of time before another twat on a stag takes a dump on the floor in the pub or a load of bags of ash appear on our streets and when that happens this is the place to be. Remember when that person bought an avocado from Sainsburys?

  20. I'm absolutely for certain roads being 20mph. Especially all the roads near pubs like The Castle, The Great Exhibition, The Actress etc. Those roads are narrow with lots of side roads and people should drive slow and take extra care. But I also think common sense should be used especially with big wide open roads like Sydenham Hill. Maybe a couple of speed humps before the bends or as mentioned earlier, islands for crossing. Or maybe more zebra crossings? I just worry because I see people getting frustrated and overtaking, creating dangerous situations. If they could stick to 30 they wouldn't do this.
  21. It is ridiculous. Sydenham Hill is a nice wide road, 20mph is too slow for that road. By all means slow down at the bends but people who crawl along at 18-20mph and slow to 15 at the bends... It's inappropriate. I see people getting frustrated and overtaking, which is dangerous. Totally agree about Penge speed. Seems so wrong to crawl along Sydenham Hill at 20 then to speed up down the much narrower steep hill with side roads obstructed with parked cars down to Penge...
  22. It's ridiculous. I've seen people overtaking along Sydenham Hill because they are stuck behind someone doing 20. It's dangerous overtaking on that road yet completely inappropriate to drive at 20mph on such a wide road.
  23. They did self defence classes in the little scout hut near bellenden road last year. Not sure if they still do but it was really good. Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings if I remember rightly...
