  1. 12th August for me please! Great to meet such lovely ladies. x Lindsay
  2. Well done on booking a table Victoria... I've not been able to get on the edf for the last few days unfortunately, so only now getting to see that it's all still going ahead. Looking forward to meeting some of you then! Lindsay
  3. That sounds perfect Running Ellsbells! Who else is in for this get together next Saturday? May be a good idea to get a little list together so we know how many to expect when booking a table....
  4. Hello to all you pregger ladies! I posted quite a while back... I'm due on 17th October with my first and I am totally up for meeting on Sat 30th June. Daytime would be really great. How about lunchtime somewhere near Peckham Rye park- like The Actress, Clockhouse, or The Gardens? Then if the weather looks good we can go from there to the park for a nice walk or something... How does that sound to everyone? I'm happy to help arrange once we get some numbers finalised. Lindsay
  5. Hello everyone, I am very pleased to add to this thread and say I am due 17th October with my first bubba. It's already been such an adventure, and it would be great to meet up with other local mums-to-be soon. Like willish, I am also on the look out for some antenatal classes. I'm signed up with Fusion on Crystal Palace Road and see that they have a pregnancy yoga class, but it's during the day and I work 9-5. Does anyone know of any classes that take place in the evening? Exciting times ahead for us ladies...:))
  6. Well I'm looking at creative agencies and the majority of these kind of media companies have a pretty laid back feel to them, so I don't see why having a dog there would be a massive problem. Of course there's the issue of other people's allergies etc, but also studies have proved that dogs are a massive destress for us all- have a look at this: http://www.mirror.co.uk/advice/jobs/2009/09/10/how-a-dog-in-the-workplace-can-help-lower-stress-levels-115875-21660763/
  7. This may be a boring subject for a lot of you, but I'm curious as to what people think... I've been wanting to get a dog for the last few years but unable to due to my last job. Now that I'm temping and looking for other permanent work, I'm trying to find somewhere that would be flexible in bringing my soon-to-be-adopted dog! Surely some companies would allow you to have a pet in the workplace? Does anyone have a view on this?
  8. Helliepeg: how long does that route from Denmark Hill to Tott Court Rd take for you? I live in Camberwell and was thinking of cycling to Covent Garden one morning... I'm quite the slow peddler mind!
  9. If you end up stopping over near LA at all, then you should stay in Venice Beach. We stayed at this fab little boutique place called Bayside Hotel a few years ago during our West Coast trip, and the rooms are right on the beach- so gorgeous. When we went to reception to check in we were greeted by two surfer blokes that spoke like they were straight out of Bill and Ted. Like totally excellent dude! http://www.baysidehotel.com/GuestQuarters_ie.htm
