  1. Wheres St Thomas Apostle in this table?
  2. Ballons of London (South Bermondsey), they can deliver. They do balloons in all shapes and sizes, I long for the giant burger ballon.
  3. We had this reading at our wedding: The fierce Dinosaur was trapped inside his cage of ice. Although it was cold he was happy in there. It was, after all, his cage. Then along came the Lovely Other Dinosaur. The Lovely Other Dinosaur melted the Dinosaur?s cage with kind words and loving thoughts. ?I like this Dinosaur,? thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur. ?Although he is fierce he is also tender and he is funny. He is also quite clever, though I will not tell him this for now.? ?I like this Lovely Other Dinosaur,? thought the Dinosaur. ?She is beautiful and she is different and she smells so nice. She is also a free spirit which is a quality I much admire in a dinosaur.? ?But he can be so distant and so peculiar at times,? thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur. ?He is also overly fond of things. Are all Dinosaurs so overly fond of things?? ?But her mind skips from here to there so quickly,? thought the Dinosaur. ?She is also uncommonly keen on shopping. Are all Lovely Other Dinosaurs so uncommonly keen on shopping?? ?I will forgive his peculiarity and his concern for things,? thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur. ?For they are part of what makes him a richly charactered individual.? ?I will forgive her skipping mind and her fondness for shopping,? thought the Dinosaur. ?For she fills our life with beautiful thoughts and wonderful surprises. Besides, I am not unkeen on shopping either.? Now the Dinosaur and the Lovely Other Dinosaur are old. Look at them. Together they stand on the hill telling each other stories and feeling the warmth of the sun on their backs. And that, my friends, is how it is with love. Let us all be Dinosaurs and Lovely Other Dinosaurs together. For the sun is warm. And the world is a beautiful place Good Luck
  4. My sons godparents bought him a really cool compass in a case which they had engraved, cant remember exactly what is said but it was something like may this compass take you to some far off places and keep you on track. He also got some shares and a massive telescope that was pretty awesome.
  5. Robert and Denny's have used them for 3 moves including a big office move. Very efficient and reasonably priced

  9. Hi, We are planning to embark on a 2-3 week honeymoon with our 2 boys (5&9) but need some inspiration. Hubby wants to do a bit of travelling ( europe by train arghhhh) id like a lovely villa or hotel, kids just want a pool, beach, ice cream and other kids to play with. Could start at a european city then take a flight another destination? travelling through school hols. Ideas anyone?
  10. Gin! change of clothes, food and more Gin. We've done this 3 times, if your going outside of school hols its pretty easy. Your 3 year old wont need to be added to qbot but 6 year old will, we have 2 boys 5&8 but in the past we have only added 2 people to qbot, as your youngest may be too small for some of the rides anyway. Get there early, pay extra for priority parking (normal parking ?4 priority ?7) as it took us over just under 1 hour 45 mins to leave the park last Friday! Also if you can get away with no visiting the gift shop your on a winner! ( if you do then please pass on your secret) It is good fun and the kids absolutely love it! When you see their happy faces you can kinda forgive the rest. Have fun xxx
  11. I second Colour Makes People Happy, Simon is brilliant with the children. What kid doesn't enjoy throwing paint at a moving object! We had our sons 5th birthday there and he still talks about it! The shop looks tiny from the front but its like a tardis when you get inside, Simon is really cool with kids running around. but to be honest they were so into the paint thing that they only moved to eat. Added bonus, each child gets to take home their very own masterpiece. We didn't really do anything apart from cake a serving some pizza! Food wise, We bought in juice and ordered Pizza from dominos ( on a collection it was buy any size pizza and get the same free)however Simon and his lovely colleague(sorry forgot her name but she was lovely) made the kids hot chocolate and these yummy mini pancakes covered in chocolate sauce...I think I ate most of them before the kids even knew they were there. Otherwise there is the Dog Kennel Hill Adventure Playground, that was also really good fun, the kids can run wild outside but if the weathers rubbish then you can use the club house(it was raining when we went to the last party there but the kids were still climbing and running wild. They have a little kitchen that you get use of. Its not hosted but if a couple of parents hang around then its a doodle. We didn't even organise any party games. just pizza (can you see my theme... so easy and most kids eat pizza) Think there is a thread on here some where that mentions parties at jags, they look brill but I think its a bit pricey. Good Luck oh check out ebay for ready filled party bags!
  12. Ok, the nightmare that I was trying to avoid is now here! where can I buy blue hairspray from....Can you believe I cant find blue afro wigs anywhere local? Whats up with these shops surely they knew a mad deranged mother would be in desperate need for such items hours before the dreaded "world Book Day" strikes...Ideas anyone?
  13. Me TOOOOOOOOO....im praying my Thing 1 and Thing 2 t shirts arrive in time other wise I my have a breakdown! 18. SHHHHHHHHH AnnaCHB I have been keeping this little gem to myself! Only drawback is not many tables and chairs but it was cool, clean and cheap....
  19. I would highly recommend DKAP for kids birthday, helpful staff and a fun place to run wild. Plus mums can go to starbucks for a quiet(ish) coffee! x
  20. I am surprised that no one has tapped into the ED and Nunhead market. Loads of Weight watcher groups, I have tried them but end up buying all their sweet treats which kinda defeats the object, plus I tend to get a bit complacent about counting my points. cant seem to shift this last stone my body is lovingly holding onto like some comfort blanket.
  21. Hi EDF is there a local slimming world group? needs to be after 5pm or on a Saturday. My summer body is far from ready lol xx
  22. HI I am also looking at a tent/marquee wedding reception. In an ideal world it would be on the banks of the Thames but I ma having a hard time finding a venue? Any ideas peeps or am I best to contact tent hire company and ask recommendations. We love London and are whole family are from SE London so would seem weird travelling to far. Bloody nightmare this whole wedding thing lols x
  23. Greenwich is also getting a waitrose.....
  24. Well I give my 7 year old ?2.50 and my 4 year old ?1.50, he hasn't quite grasped the concept of the value of money and often tries to convince me he has enough for a new power ranger! I decided to introduce it as a reward for good behaviour ( basically not beating the crap out of each other) and also to try and make them understand the term saving( something that at 37 I'm still struggling with) Money gets deducted if they have been troublesome this can be earned back. As an incentive I have found money works better than a sticker chart. They ha e me sussed, they no I forget to give them stickers or they swindle them out of me.
  25. I thought I could book kids swimming ( floats session Peckham main pool) on line but it's no letting me, I can't get through to the pulse ( no surprise) to ask... Is it not in the membership thingy? Can't face another Sunday afternoon with sulky kids cos the session is full. Any advice please xx
