Come to think of it , I don?t know anyone who enjoyed their state secondary.Private is about opportunities, doors opening, and money, but to be surrounded by snobbery, privilege and unfairness every day would be enough to send a sane person off to the raving socialist party

Please, what local state secondaries, that you speak of are fabulous? State secondaries fail our sons

This is an interesting topic. It depends on the child. Private definitely for secondary if you can afford it and if your child is academic or sporty or a good all rounder. Think of the opportunities they would get there that just do not exist in state schools. On the down side you have to be careful regarding the amount of pressure that will be put on your child to achieve and the effect on their mental health.

These receptionists leave a lot to be desired, patronising sue who couldn?t move any slower and rude and obnoxious Irene, who shouts over you , no social skills whatsoever, and another one who always looks permanently harassed. They can?t cope under pressure ,it?s all very unprofessional and they obviously hate their jobs. I?m just amazed they are still employed there, they must be very hard to get rid of is all I can think.

Really don?t get it when someone posts their opposite experience, as if the poster is lying, honestly good for you , not everyone has had your safe care! The receptionists at this practice are historically appalling, I?m astounded they are still there. Are they hard to sack and replace or what, what is it??

The staff have always been crap, they love it this way, hardly having to do anything, the chemist opposite knows.

I hate these lofts, they completely ruin the Victorian houses. Ugly doesn?t even come in to it. Why not just buy a bigger house that isn?t an eyesore, is it because people are greedy?

NCR market encourages people to loiter, hang around chatting, meet up and not socially distance. I don?t think inside shops do this, do they?

I think the poster was implying that the family was a bit scummy. If that?s the case then he/she has my sympathies. I lived opposite a family like this and it wasn?t always nice. If it?s just the kids noise then it?s not right to be complaining but if it?s added on to other issues I?d get the placards out, snob or not.
