  1. yes James, I do not have twitter so your question was not clear regarding widening the pavements. My music by request. was to highlight noise. I would prefer music but realise this is about distancing. "Some time", is as long as it rakes to move some plastic barriers/cones.some time as in relation to Southwark councils roadworks being done puts a different slant on it. thanks.
  2. I believe we are similiarly connected with plants and animals, plants can have viruses which have a similiar behaviour, my plum tree has been infected with a fungus. I am still not clear around the tests being used or the accuracy. has there been a definite identification of the virus. Ive looked a little at RT-pcr test, which i believe looked at genetic material similiar to SARS 1. I don*t know which tests are being used now and I have been surprised with a couple of friends of mine who are working on front line, who do not know either what tests are being used. It would be a step towards understanding if the scientist, government could explain as much as possible in laymans term and keep us up to date with tests being used and how they work. one person can do this. I would find this information helpful instead of this constant delivery of fear and contradictions.
  3. flu vaccinations are not efficient especially in older people. the live nasal spray vaccine given to children also sheds for up to 4wks. The fact this is an attenuated does not change the fact it is a live vaccine. hence why parents are given information to keep there children away from immucompromised people. if a psuedovirus can cause infection why is it always ruled out that shedding can be contagious. there was a genetic mutation discovered by John Hopkins researchers with this vaccine flumist in 2017. it was said it may help to restore the vaccines effectiveness after the US stopped using it. A pharmaceutical genetic mutation brought about by doing what may happen naturally. this was not an intention as far as I could see. Did the mutation bring about clinical studies before US then continued using it in its immunisation programme. If my memory serves me right I could not find any information regarding trials around this. I don't remember ever finding out how this mutation helped effectiveness.
  4. James. Do you think the council would agree if I asked people while waiting in queue, if I could play music on my speaker. I would do requests and it would bring some social contact through music?
  5. It is ridiculous people are having to deal with this noise, I do not live on the high street but sympathise for those who do. It is hard enough queuing without having to be bombarded with noise. my friend lives on sea front and from day 2 of lockdown everyday including weekend there has been workmen digging up right outside her 3rd floor flat. no social distancing. it has been torture for her. On one hand there is concern of the impact lockdown is having on people , what is so important that this work needs done at the expense of putting people through this disruption.

James, Considering you have mentioned the widening of the pavements in relation to key points where there are lots of queuing, do you envision social distancing becoming long term.
  7. Suicide, child sexual abuse, domestic violence are problems we have seen rise through lockdown. I have seen people sit on buses especially little buses p13 where half the bus is blocked off and its impossible to keep the given distance. This maybe older people going to sainsburys, or as some may think, should not be travelling regardless of not knowing circumstances. Not everyone falls into the category of the rather contradictory neccesity group. And as time has shown, there are serious consequences from the lockdown. The government has now said people can go live with friends or family if they find themselves in a domestic situation. Many children do not have an option, also leaving for a few days may be helpful but it can also make a situation worse. I have saw a few young people meet up and it felt to me an absolute neccesity. I think people behave in ways neccesary to try and protect themselves and families.
  8. Blah blah, Thanks I appreciate your explaining, but I do have concerns myself as although psuedovirus developing falls into a biolevel 2 for safety, there are stll safety issues. Link to HIV psuedovirus link. https://www.healio.com/infectious-disease/hiv-aids/news/online/%7B4cb682b9-2b1a-4046-85b9-78c1de79f223%7D/lab-worker-contracts-hiv-through-unknown-transmission-route
  9. Blah blah, a chimera is a single organism composed of cells with more that one genotype. Splicing may not be the proper terminology but ,I may be wrong I got the impression that Robbie was implying the mixing of the diffrent viruses. Yes vaccines are developed like this and have been shown to bring about mutations. You are scientifically aware, I think to educate or share your knowledge would be better delivered without insults.
  10. I find this vid pretty balanced, don't be put off by title. Sorry edited to say its an interview with Charles Eisenstein
  11. Dbboy, it seems to becoming more acceptable to not question any contradictions, even when things no longer make sense. You have not added anything to the thread regarding the scientific advice which all I was saying, was it was not clear. I have tried to support parents going through the nightmare of this illness, which has same symptoms as the conditions we are being alerted to. with there child for just over one year. I am struggling to see the link with symptoms that are related to an already hard to understand illness. Now that may equal in your mind your response. You have the right to not question even that which you do not understand, if that brings you to believe you are a person who understands the government are doing there best, I do not have a problem with that, I neither have a problem what you assume about me for expressing my views. The right to respond is welcomed.
  12. https://adc.bmj.com/content/104/7/640 Some links on above
  13. There is no proof it is related Blah Blah, Kawasaki has been given as one of the main causes for childhood heart conditions, although there is no understanding of the cause. The figures have increased over the years, I do not know if this has already been raised, i cannot put a link to recent info as it is I must ask permission and pay to copy.
  14. Seenbeen, manifestations of immune system, is not a new idea. Most people who suffer from auto immune disease are aware. If you mean in regards to the virus, until there has been A connection that seperates these symptoms from other on going cases still undiagnosed which have also been seen in adults, regarding vasculitis and other similiar symptoms. Many people not being given a diagnosis. If diagnosing these problems have been difficult in the past, It would be good to be alerted to the differences berween these similiar symptoms, especially when it Is so difficult to come up with a diagnosis.
  15. I personally know one child who for the last year has spent a long time in hospital, with inflammation, where Kawasaki was considered but not given as a diagnosis. It is still unclear what the actual problem is, although he seems to be recovering. My worry is that any illness difficult for doctors to diagnose will be considered as related to this virus. I can't see any reasons they have given why it can be, before an urgent alert there should be a clear difference made between increasing, although still rare, cases of children with these symptoms. Im sorry I dont have the figure to hand of cases over last few years, and my internets playing up, (phone). It would be interesting to hear what the differences are between the cases in the past few years and recent cases.
  16. Why issue an urgent alert, then give such vague reasoning and uncertainty around it. It is hard enough to make sense of the alreadu many contradictions. Wouldn't it be better to have more information before giving people something else to fear. There seems to be no information on the cases or any tests done that connect cases with sars2cov, if so, this should be told.
  17. Johnl in hindsight is there anything you could have done that may have prevented your money being stolen. If it was not a case of you simply losing it. The banking system takes away our responsibility for the safety of our own money.I hope bank refund you money fishbiscuits.
  18. Pokerstars, we played last night, 7 of us. Its got to be done on a tablet or computeoops just noticed pk gave this one. Used with discord.
  19. Thecat you can maybe ask councillor on his thread. Its also a good idea to look at using any recycling you would normally put in blue bin, milk cartons/plant pots etc.
  20. Colville, On the rye, thanks for your response, I'm so happy to hear your allotments are being tended. Absolutely agree, they are vital not only for produce but for peoples wellbeing. I was unsure if access had been stopped.thank you again for letting us know.
  21. Thanks James, I thought allotments were managed by the council. I expect people are Still able to use them and there has been no instruction from council about usage. There are many contradictions in what is being asked of people, regards covid19. Would people be permitted to tend there allotments? Would this be seen as a necessity? I also find it strange that police officers observing and implementing rules around social distancing are not following these instructions. Thanks James.
  22. Thanks James, i expect London boroughs like many places are using different methods of dealing with homeless people, which may depend on how able different boroughs, towns or citues can actually offer somewhere. I was wondering James if Southwark council are considering using allotments. I realise individual people manage there own space, would it be possible to write to people and ask if there are utilising there allotment, and if not allowing it to be used at this time. A team of volunteers can then come together, (at a distance). It seems crazy to have land that has been used for growing not being used. Thanks.
  23. Thanks James, can you tell me if this is over all boroughs, my friend is trying to find a family member who is homeless, and is hearing fines are being handed out to homeless. He was more central London I believe. Thanks.
  24. Tb600, thanks for letting us know. I think the EDF can be a great source for letting people know what needs done. I myself would physically not be much good but I will certainly spread the word. Thanks
  25. Oh yeah lets all smile and pretend the things that bother us isn't important enough to air. Ok it doesn't effect the above posters but this thread is about cash not being taken in shops. Is it carping on when people say how it effects them. How would people feel if problems arose with using your cards, i'm sure you wouldn't like to be told to stop being negative, its not helpful, put yourself in others shoes. It is trying times, we need to be able to hear one anothers needs and difficulty regardless of our differences.
