  1. If they have smoke grenades they're quite effective. Went with my work mates last year, some of the fellas got some smoke grenades and they put out an amazing amount of smoke, great if you're trying to capture a flag or something. Oh and if you've had a few too many vodkas, try to shoot both of the doubles you may see out there.....and the large pink elephant that looks like good cover may not actually be real....

  3. The rain this morning has done a good job of clearing the side roads about the place, if the temperature stays above freezing for another day or so I'd say most of the roads will be fine to drive on.
  4. ooo, I'm always on the look out for decent mexican, will have to check it out.
  5. Ok, it definetly has been very slow over the last couple of days for me, lots of 'This site is taking too long to respond' errors. Other sites seem fine though, anyone else having issues?
  6. *finally manages to clear the snow from the front door, tip toes in past various empty bottles and dozing inhabitants, including one with a flashing rudolph nose* *stokes the fire and begins to restock the bar and clear away the mountain of emptys after shooing the penguins back outside*
  7. Yeah they are well out of order with their pricing, I got lucky and found one on Amazon for a tenner from cash converters in Scotland, guess they didn't realise how much they usually go for. You can use a wired connection, or is that not an option for you? Edit: Seems to be a few on Ebay for 35 quid for 'Buy it now' or auctions starting at 99p.

  9. There are various settings that an ISP/telco can change remotely both on cable and ADSL broadband, so it could be that someone looked at the settings for you connection and tweaked something or found something not set right.
  10. I'm manging in my little automatic corsa ok, just take it slow, use 2nd gear to take off or just let the car crawl off in drive from a stop so u don't spin the wheeels, not sure I'd be so keen on trying to park on some of the more icy roads though. Landells is pretty much iced over, Crystal Palace isn't too bad.
  11. Maybe a large jump of people at home on the internet or working from home using remote longin/access, etc is loading things down a bit?
  12. FYI, if you have a Sky or BT Homehub router it is a good idea to change the wireless key from the one printed on the sticker on the router. It seems these keys are related to the MAC address of the router and there is software out there that produces the wireless key once you enter a know MAC address. One of my mates demostrated this for me a while back, sitting in a pub with his laptop we picked a random Sky wireless network and within minutes he was into their network and router (also a good idea to change your router password from the default too).

He was following me down the lane earlier on in the morning, did a bit of a double take in the rear view mirror when I saw him, gave me a laugh tho.
  15. Yeah that's the one, the PCs will automatically adjust to the new channel.
  16. Having been out and about in my car today and getting home not long ago, all the main roads seem fine, all gritted and cleard and no sign of snow in ED yet so for the moment the buses seem to be alright.
  17. Barry Rd southbound is completly blocked just past Goodrich by at least 3 number 12 bendy buses with their hazard lights on, guessing they're backed all the way up to the Plough.
  18. Traffic very slow up Barry Rd, seen a couple of 12 buses spinning their wheels and off-loading their passengers, seems to be very slippery by the crossing at the Goodrich rd corner, seen a few close calls from my window.
  19. Hmmm, I reckon the apartments on Dog Kennel Hill over looking Sainsburys car park would be good with the Barrett.
  20. Several months ago (back when it was warmer) I left the wondow on the footpath side of my car wound completly down all night and half of the next day, yet nothing had been touched. A gimmie if ever I saw one.
  21. Excellent...got Batman Arkham Asylum for xmas....and going on holiday tomorrow morning, oh well plenty of winter left when I get back... *twitches impatiently*
  22. Here's ComputedShortys christmas card in pdf format, which may help. Merry Christmas all.
  23. What the.....they can't do that.... Japan, China, close enough, damm Hollywood
  24. Where have you guys been? Demon'ssssss Soul was last week, this week is short and...er...sweet? Yahtzee B)
  25. Sounds like everyone else decided that it would be quieter earlier on in the day like me, when I was there people were parking anywhere they could fit, in front of the recycling bins, on the access road, it was madness, and the people they had marshalling the cars just kept waving everyone into the carpark even though there was a massive jam.
