Sounds good, thanks for clearing that up Cate, I thought I had heard there were a few shops but got mixed up with the Borough market one.

I was watching a documentary about the Iraq war a couple weeks back, and part of it was about some hostages that were taken and demands were made for money and a couple of prisoners to be released. The hostages were eventually released and although the offical line was no deal was made there were rumors the government did a deal, and interestingly the 2 prisoners they wanted released were released a few days later, offically for other reasons. Read into it what you will. I was actuially surprised they didn't quietly send the SAS in to get them out, probably just watched too many hollywood movies.

How cronic was that lip synching in the group song at the start? Some of those guys need to work on their timing a bit.

Tea Amore has changed it's name to Gastronomica, still looks the same but maybe it has changed hands (haven't been in since it changed)? Not sure if it's related to Gastronomica in Borough Market or not. Gastronomica?

Black Ops good then? Think that will be my next purchase, just need to find the time to play it.

Downloaded Limbo yesterday, brilliant, thumbs up from me also. I especially like how they change the actions of some of the traps so you think 'oh I've seen this before, you do A' when they have changed to so you need to do B. Nasty but gave me a few 'you bastards' type laughs.

'Special' brownies eh...... B) Here you go Handy Spoon Measures (might have to scroll down a bit) For coco powder they suggest 4 level tablespoons. Edit, oops thats tablespoons not teaspoons

I got a parking ticket last year in Camden on a Sunday afternoon, found a space in a set of bays, had a good look around and found there was no 'pay and display' sign or meter to be seen, just one restriciting loading on the yellow line next to the bays mon-fri. The bays across the road had a pay and display sign which I thought a little odd but left it, came back to a parking fine so I took photos of the lack of signs, etc. Appealed the parking fine and they sent me a photo of the 'pay and display' sign they claimed was there, using streetview I matched the sign in the photo to one further down the road on the opposite side of the road. No matter appeal rejected, so I paid up, wasn't happy about it though. A week later I was going past the same spot so I deicded to get out to have another look, and there was a brand new 'pay and display' sign on a pole in front of the bays I parked in, with the concrete still wet. Now that's taking the p*ss, rejecting my appeal by saying there was adequate sinage then putting up a new sign after the fact. I later found out that it is common pratice to reject the first appeal automatically as most people will give up then. Sure if you're in the wrong fair enough, but some of their tactics are pretty low.

The driver would have just been going back to the bus garage at the end of his shift, probably the Peckham one. If the lights are off the bus is out of service (they don't always bother to change the signs) and some of those buses are pretty quick when they're empty, that and I guess the drivers are probably quite keen to get home too :) My wife was on a bus a while ago late at night and it got to the end of it's run, as she was the last person on it the driver asked her if she was heading further up the road as that was the way he was going and dropped her off at the end of our street, nice to hear stories about nice bus drivers for a change, although she did fall asleep on the train once and was woken by a ticket inspector one stop on past ours at the time and he gave her a ticket even though it was obvious she has just fallen asleep (6)

There's a map on the link Jeremy posted, looks like the line split/joins at Surrey Quays. -

Wonder if any of the miner found any when they were down there.....apart from the fellas wheeling them away on the trolleys when they got out thinking 'how did these guys put on so much weight?' who would know :)

Apparently they made a pact to split any money that is made from their stories, etc. Will be interesting to see if the Presidents promises to overhaul the countries saftey standards to make mining safer and improve conditions for miners actually come to anything.

Think they spent most of their time shifting the tons of rubble that were pouring down the rescue shaft as it was made wider to fit the pod.

Have had very similar experiences, have been home waiting for the door bell to ring only to find later on they have posted a card through the slot without checking anyone is home. Another time the bell rang and the time it took me to walk down the hall and open the door they guy was about to put a card through the slot, although the did have the package on him and handed it over.

Don't be a burglary victim - a few tips.
EDKiwi replied to EDOliver's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Also don't leave the packing boxes for new purchases sitting outside your house. I see someone in our street has got a new 42inch tv because the packing box has been sitting outside their house for the last few days. -
better to rent out our house privately or with an agent ????
EDKiwi replied to ljs's topic in The Lounge
I'd be inclined to go private, we rent our place in NZ (luckily my parents take care of most of the issues we have with the place) but while renting we were never very impressed with the agencies we came across, and have found the same here in the UK. I'm sure there are some good ones out there but most we have encountered seem to charge the tenants and landlords large fees yet do very few inspections and seem to take ages to sort out maintenance issues (and I tend to sort out most minor stuff myself). My suggestion would be if you decided to go private is sort out a local trusted handyman (I sure there's plenty of recommendations on here) who can sort out any issues that come up with your place and leave a set of keys with a friend, and most importantly make sure any tenants are properly reference checked.
