  1. The usual TV appearances and the old live performance i bleieve. Felicity Kendall, now theres a REAL woman, I'd like to see her and Emylou Harris wrestle.
  2. 'Real' women disapeared from public view when Margaret Thatcher was ousted in 90, after that (1991) they became 'All Woman' for this we can thank Lisa Stansfield, who coincidentally had to change the lyrics of All Woman to remove reference to Maggie T. It is indeed a strange world in which we live.
  3. Early Morning Cold Taxi - The Who
  4. Presumably still is, or can you have real woman status removed if you join the cast of Eastenders
  5. This whole 'real' thing is a load of old nonsense, Depeche Mode had it right... Do real mean wear wigs ? Connery does. Wig/moisturiser, which is the greater vanity ?
  6. Morag Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Well doctor, she would be someone who would ask > you."What do you think is a real man? Thats not so much an answer as a question, all i can ascertain from this is that real women ask questions when asked a question. "What do I think is a real man ?" In my professional opinion, I'd have to say Chuck Norris.
  7. Button down collars, a filthy abomination. interviewees constantlty using the words 'you know' at the end of every sentence, professional sportsmen are possibly the worst culprits, you know.
  8. What (by your definition) is a real woman ?
  9. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scott's DVD. Does this have Vinnie Colaiuta playing drums ?
  10. beef Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- "and 'Big 'ol bug is the new baby now' by the Flaming Lips, on the 'Colours are brighter" Is this a compilation ? the track was originally on Zaireeka. :)-D "blindingly brilliant Super Furry Animal's 'Dark days/Light years". I have to agree with you here. This is surely their best lp in 10 years, fantastic to have them back after a couple of poor (by their standards) records
  11. Onions & Swann, sounds like a musichall novelty act. and suddenly it feels like 2005 again ! Viv Stanshall called it correctly..............I can only assume they're not liking the conditions, at all.
  12. flapjackdavey Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I quite like " keep it dark " off of ABACAB.... Sailing pretty close to the wind there old chap. The correct answer is of course Whodunnit. Keep taking the tablets. :))

F^&K > > off THEN !"!! > > > > HAteful damn record . who was it by ,ski slope, > or > > someone ? ???? > > De La Soul? Ski Slope almost, it's I Wish by Skee Lo, and I agree it is truly horrid.
  14. How does it compare to A River Ain't To Much To Love :)-D
  15. We'll get to 320, They shall bat through til Friday tea, Pieterson will get a ton and The match will end in a draw Thats 4 for you
  16. What are people rocking out, getting down, or generally grooving to in East Dulwich ? Does anyone actually pay for their music nowadays ? I'm a records man myself, and have just taken delivery of some beauties..... Neil Young - Live at Canterbury Hall 1968, This is to lovely for my words....... Sigur Ros - Von, Their first album only now available on vinyl, haven't had a listen yet but i have high hopes. Radiohead - Live in Germnany 2001, nice mix of the old prog and their experimental stuff. UK - UK, dodgy prog. Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues, not their best but it only cost me a quid in a charity shop.
  17. Kate Vs Yasmina final. Thats what I reckon.
  18. Thank you, I will
  19. Indeed, even more of a shame that I never got to see it :(
  20. I very much wanted Sir Alan to make some joke about the writing being on the wall for Noorul, but he didn't, opportunity missed. Yasmina for the win !! yay etc etc etc etc saucy minx
  21. I can't watch more than 2 episodes without thinking in a Baltimore accent !
  22. I'm Gonna Be - The Proclaimers
  23. Possibly my favourite ever :)-D They were stuck in a big old group house waiting for Pete to get back from seeing his wife and sick child in London, so had plenty of time to practice, this in additiion to being really sh*t hot on their chosen instruments by this point.
  24. I had school friends called Jamie and Gala Wright, I used to go to their house for tea and had drum lessons with Jamie. I knew that their dad was a musician (played electric organ in Pink Floyd,) but wasn't sure who he was at the time. I was also very good with John Rostills son, Paul (he played bass for The Shadows and Tom Jones, and was very sadly electrocuted to death by his Bass guitar!). Hank & Cliff paid for Pauls upbringing, school etc, he never got to meet his dad. Thoroughly nice chaps. I met Robert Fripp once, he sneered when I asked for Bill Brufords autograph.
  25. Just as few of my current favourites Brother Sport - Animal Collective Expecting To Fly - Buffalo Springfield Helium Hearts - Super Furry Animals Hit The Switch - Bright Eyes When You Smile - Flaming Lips Riding The Scree - Genesis Surfs Up - Beach Boys Everyone Thinks He Looks Daft - Wedding Present Same Old Rock - Roy Harper Teenage Riot - Sonic Youth (Did you see Kim Gordon on Jools, ?) Theme From First Question Award - Cornelius
