  1. I have had two children go through the school. Both academic and one with special educational needs. Both got excellent GCSE results as well as extra curricular opportunities in music, sport etc. I agree that there are many excellent teachers and come discipline issues in some classes. I don’t agree that the management is poor, but from what I understand the school has been having more behavioural problems post Covid. Our experience has been that the school does not set or stream, although they do provide additional support for children who need it - the rationale shown by research that this approach has the best academic outcomes for the most children. This has not seemed to get in the way of my children achieving,
  2. At the moment poor air quality is reducing life expectancy and causing ill health to many of us and our children. It was shown to increase likelihood of being ill from Covid. We need to reduce car use and closing roads to encourage pedestrians and cycling is one way of doing this. I hope the Council will make their case to local residents.
  3. Steve has just been round to fix our dishwasher. Quick and knowledgable as ever, he fixed it in 10 minutes and was good value. Highly recommended.
  4. It seems that there was a lot of rumour swirling around amongst a group of kids that afternoon, and there is nothing to suggest that there was anyone in the area with a knife at all.
  5. So are we saying that there definitely won't be a new library? That's very depressing.
