Please don't tell me you are not bothered by all these potholes at all? Not only it will damage vehicles but most of all it will cause accidents and traffics! Doesn't anyone care anymore?? -

I was dealing with them I think last year or year before, can't quite remember when.:-$ So they've been in business for sometime now but only managed to open a shop this year & I say good luck to them, they're good guys & really care for their customers. Too bad we never concluded on any business together...I was just too fussy.

Personally I don't think think I could eat it. -
East Dulwich to Uxbridge - advice please

If you're going anywhere near the Westfield Mall then bus 148 goes straight there, no hassle & can enjoy reading a book and a paper back to back. -

Try Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter. -
That premises would have been better put to use with a local M&S....now see people flock en masse.

Sorry but one must be that gullible if they are easily conned by someone like that woman. Surely soon as you open the door faced by this begging hustler esp if she does not look the part, you should at that instance already smell a rat! Why not say you don't have money either and close the door on her face, just like that!

I always ignore the woman hanging around at the front of Somerfields esp when she's with a child or handing out something...I can't abide with projecting some emotional blackmail...I hate it! The guy outside Sainsburys selling Big Issues though is not a problem to me, as he seems like a nice man....not pushy & also polite. Bought once from him but ever since just politely declining to buy again.

I like a proper Chinese restaurant/takeaway as in Chinatown style eg Lee Ho Fook in Gerrard St, Kam Tong in Queensway with hanging roast duck, char sui pork, crispy pork on display ready for takeaway!!!

I don't understand, why was this thread moved from General ED issues?? I thought it's perfectly placed there as it were....I didn't think it was a big deal to have it moved to Lounge. -

If you are in a customer facing work environment there is no room for having sense of apathy, boredom, or anything of negative attitude. And no, I've never worked in Supermarket, if that's what you mean....but that's has nothing to do with what's being discussed here. Anyway before I digress further... heroic job by that lady, Niki, maybe Sainsburys could hire her! -

In US, security guards in depots or warehouses (B&Q, Homebase equivalent in UK) even have guns (not that I want same practice here). But that role is taken very seriously and those guards are also totally alert. I've observed some SGs in Sainsburys sometimes and they are yawning, dragging their feet, staring at a distance, I feel like making this point to Justin King (CEO) actually...and same goes with the cashiers who more often than not have long faces and rude.
