Any reports of price hikes from the Lordship Lane pubs? I went to the Castle on Saturday and luckily they have not bumped up their prices. Id be surprised if the others havent though. Also intrigued in what the crowd was like at the weekend, i assumed it would be just posh families ordering food and craft beer, and the normal pub goer who likes to get drunk not allowed in, as families would spend more money in the reduced capacity? -
Refuse collectors won't take brown bin

A good thing to do if your one is full or you dont want to pay the annual fee, is just put it in someone elses brown bin in your street or beyond. You'll find that often people do not fill them up anywhere near full, so theres plenty of room for your garden waste. -
You have no right to dictate what date of the year people set fireworks off, even if you had a house full of dogs and cats- what is so difficult for selfish people with pets to understand this? The only leg you have to stand on is if people let fireworks off after 11pm, then it is illegal, i believe.

There is hardly any chicken shops in ED, and one just closed beside MeatLiquor, so we are hardly swamped with them. Try going to somewhere like Peckham where there are dozens- its where the local yoot get food from after school.

I heard some yesterday afternoon and evening, near the Crystal Palace Road area. I thought it a little silly as it was still daylight so you would not be able to see them. However, people are allowed to set off fireworks if they like, and just because you choose to keep an animal captive in an urban environment gives no right whatsoever to complain about this.
