  1. Hi Vanessa, in my preggo head poor organisation state I've managed to forgot about a friend's baby shower that I'm going to so unfortunately I won't be able to make brunch on Saturday anymore....sorry about that, annoying to have folk cancel I know so I do apologise! See you all soon and good luck over coming weeks and days :-)
  2. Wow that's on helluva birth story Emmy... You've experienced a lot all in one go! Hope you're feeling better now you're home. Congratulations!! No doubt catch up with you soon, Jane x
  3. Congratulations Melissa - and welcome to another spring baby boy! Glad all is well and you're home. No doubt see you soon. Jane x
  4. Hi All Shame, afraid I won't make Thursday meet up as its my last day at work - woo hoo! After that am around. Nikki - wondering how quick sweeps take effect... Maybe already?? I'm going to be having the same in a week or so hence interested in the gory details! Hollie - hope you're ok, it'll all come good soon and not long to wait to meet your new arrival. Very normal to feel a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing, you're right there's no clocking off time but somehow you just manage....first part is the hardest but it does get easier. Look forward to catching up with people soon.... 14th if not before, Jane x
  5. Bring on the boys! Congrats Jess (poor you, must have been super stressful, glad all turned out ok) and also congrats to Rhian (also sounds a bit of a rolls coaster!) - look forward to meeting the new arrivals in due course :-) Jane x
  6. The one certain thing about all of this is just when you think you have it cracked they (the little momsters) sense it and decide to mix things up again... oh I can't wait for a bit of newboarn activity ;-)
  7. Nikki - I'll see you outside the cafe in dulwich park tomorrow about 1pm. I'll PM you with my mobile number in case you need contact me for any change of plan. Jenny - hopefully catch you tomorrow between midwives, health visitors and diabetes clinic... forgot how time consuming this baby lark is!!
  8. Hi Everyone Congratulations Laura - that sounds like a dream birth experience... you lucky thing!! Must have been a bit of a shock coming two weeks early but at least it was a straight forward one... and out the same evening too - impressive! Subject to getting toddler looked after I'm up for the 14th Vanessa - would be good to catch up. Franklins works for me! I'm working from home tomorrow so up for a Dulwich Park cafe get together as weather looks like it'll be nice.... I won't be able to make it until a bit later this week though as got to see diabetes police at 11.30 which may take a hour or so.. so could be at park around 1pmish realistically. Anyone else around?
  9. Hey Caroline - yes you're right, its a steep learning curve... I likened it to learning a foreign lanuage with no text book or teacher.. or knowing what the lanuage actually was! I'm still no where near fluent! Lucy - hope they turned up eventually.... yep think we're going to meet next Tuesday, location to be dedicided on Monday when we know what the weather is doing.. if nice then a park probably. We went to Dulwich park today which was lovely as sun was shining - good to see everyone... working from hme is sooo taxing ;-)
  10. Cool - will head to Dulwich park cafe for around 11am. A note on the pub door sounds like a good idea Nikki. Caroline - sorry to hear your little one had a bad night.... if he's been sick a lot it could be reflux but I recall that cholic mostly develops a little later if it comes. It could also be wind..a very common problemo... I had a bit of a struggle with this on my first, she seemed to be in lots of pain and cried a lot and it ended up being wind that i wasn't getting out of her very well. It does take ages to get the knack of winding properly and its worth trying lots of difernet positions and can take quite a while after a feed, particualrly if he's a gulper and taken in a good bit of air in the process. Often worth stopping half way through a feed to wind then go back in for seconds, thereby avoiding a big windy build up. Anyway, just a thought. Hope he gets better x
  11. Congratulations Nicole and welcome Charlie...another boy!! I'm easy re tomorrow meet up, can do Dulwich park cafe but a bit worried we may have some peeps turning up to plough... A repeat if two factions like the Actress?!? We could just head to plough for 12? I don't know which is best??
  12. Congratulations Jo - would have loved to have seen the Denmark Hill shuffle along with primeval roars! And welcome to Arthur, almost 9 pounds - ouch! Hope he's doing well. See you soon Jane x
  13. Yep I think we said 11 on Tuesdays at the Plough See you there on 20th! Jane x

  21. Hey Sophie, sorry I was a no show today, the cold I've been battling all week took a turn for the worse so thought I should keep my germs to myself. Shame to have missed you all - have lost my voice so wouldn't have been able to chat anyway!! Catch you all on 29th for evening drinks. Jane x

  24. Yep sounds like a good plan Nikki, I'm on mat leave from 5th april and am toddler free for those days too although tues or thurs would be my preference if it counts at all?!
  25. Good to see you all last night - staggering how we managed to have two factions in the same pub!! Next time we need some form of id so we can actually find each other!! Maybe a big umbrella like tour groups use (I'm joking of course!) Anyway - good to catch up and I'm up for Brekkie on 18th Feb (can't remember if the Mag serves breaksfast on a Saturday... if they do it might be a good location - I know it doesn't on Sundays). Have a good day all Jane x
