Ditto above, pg when exclusively BFing. 14 month gap. Hard work then, lovely now

Controversial! How old? But then I don't think people should walk alongside each other if more than 2 people, they should step to one side if going to stop, not just in the middle of the pavement. any particular reason why you feel this way? Age of children? Or is this just.EDF children bashing? Sorry, cynical....

If you sell what I call "tut" you will do well but you appear to overlap with already present shops. Also, check our costs of retail spaces. They are quite likely prohibitive....

As a mother of three who ave attended terrible nurseries and amazing ones I have been astonished by this thread and the utterly inappropriate responses and character assassination that some parents have levelled at the OP. You should be ashamed! This forum has enough sniping but at a mother whose child was able to leave a nursery without anyone noticing! Seriously?!? Get a grip and start phoning round. I did this when a nursery we attended had massive problems. You will find most nurseries have caveats in there prioritisation s and will allow you to jump up lists if you explain the circumstances. In the meantime, don't make inappropriate judgements about someone whose care has not been called into question. She is the victim. Just imagine saying what you said if the child had been run over? Doesn't sound quite so appropriate does it.... Additional comments in edit. I work in health care. Being nice/ understanding/ getting people on side is an intrinsic part of my job. However, at no point does that negate me from my professional responsibilities. However nice I am, without correct procedures/ training / knowledge I would still be negligent and that is what has happened. Inconvenient, yes. However, ofsted are doing their job. The OP, another poster and Ofsted had noted problems about access. I would suggest you re- evaluate how you judge a nursery. A nice feeling does not make it safe and therefore within legislation it fails.

Local residential care homes / sheltered housing?
JDR replied to esme's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Your relative may well have a social worker and they should have a list of homes that provide the appropriate level of care your relative needs. If not much joy, try Age Concern. They often have info or contacts of other organisations that might be able to help. Good luck -
We had three under three. First 2 planned, third a "happy accident". We were just at the point of thinking how many we would like ( had always said three) and found out when our middle child was 5 months old that we were having a third. I swore lots for a few weeks and did have to hire a nanny for odd days towards the end of pregnancy due to symphysis pubis problems and a 14 month old so needed lifting etc that I was virtually incapable of doing. Littlest is now 6! Still my baby and I can't imagine life without her. We would never have planned a 14 month gap and there are 18 months of my life that passed in a blur but three is lovely. I will admit we were influenced by the fact I am an only child and husbands brother not having children I want them to have people of their generation around them and cousins unlikely. Hopefully they will have one another until long after I'm gone

My husband uses the TFL website and there is either a cycling option or just untick the others and it tends to run the route a street or two back from main roads.

There are actually two different systems. One will be useful for research etc another just sold to people willing to pay.... Will include quite a lot of info and anyone with knowledge of databases will be aware it won't be difficult for them to cross reference other data and actually work out who raw data belongs to. Be aware they are also about to do the same with data from HMRC

Dulwich Medical Centre - Any good?
JDR replied to Juliette&Rich's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I haven't attended this surgery for some time until this morning. They had no slots left when I managed to get through but said they have a new system where you sit and wait. We did this, an awfully long wait but were seen and all staff were professional throughout. There didn't seem to be any other doctors though other than the locum though.... Hopefully, things are on the turn -
Also, in addition to sting and wind instruments there are keyboards as well. Again at a young age relatively simple playing methods and can concentrate on reading music and timings. Admittedly my daughter didn't start until age 8. Could probably have started from 6/7 but didn't show much interest and agree with Pickle that they need to be.

What is happening with the historic Grove Tavern?

Would suggest contacting local Tory councillors. Takes top billing on quite a few leaflets I've had from them.... -

We had professionals but that didn't work as you need to keep sleeping in the room to draw them into the poison. They are attracted out of their hiding places by imperceptible increases in CO2 levels.... We did poisoning indep from a kit bought off amazon. And we kept doing it.... And in lots of rooms. Took about 6 months.... They can lie dormant for upto 2 years so you'll need prolonged vigilance. We've been free over a year so good luck, you will win

Eating should be done considerately, photos of unwitting eaters shouldn't be taken.... Let actual common sense prevail.... Oh, and then humans get involved. Muppets! I'm female, very occasionally will eat a bought sandwich on public transport.... Berate me now and forever ( oh, and every man that isn't mentioned) The very real issue here, ignoring the very occasional but unlikely harm/offence caused on here is significantly more serious.... Women focused derision in a world where children come across porn at an early age and in particuar think girls/women should act like they see on websites. More relevantly revenge websites for exes/current girlfriends showing misguided girls during sexual acts who have their lives destroyed. This is the thin end of the wedge.... We should all be very wary

We have conflicting accounts within our school. Head says no holidays in term time and just sent a letter saying Southwark will start finig parents, whereas deputy says as long as attendance is 90%+ after the days taken its fine.... Very confusing

Lack of trains/ tubes is also why south east London is (relatively) affordable. If rail arrives then house prices will climb even higher..... Great for work, terrible for the average people looking for homes

To the mums in a local cafe this morning....
JDR replied to NannyFH's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Totally agree with poster... Good for you for saying it and don't say something to them. They won't change and you will lose job opportunities.... However, I disagree about ' new money' just people with bad attitudes and a sense of entitlement. Any kind of money can behave like that ( regrettably) -
Trying to buy a house in this area is near impossible
JDR replied to Grotty's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We moved up a property level just over 2 years ago and ours was funded by owning for 11 years first plus third child going to school and no longer paying child care.... On our road though, the last 4 houses have been moved into but the previous three sold within a couple of weeks and then were let immediately. I'm not convinced investors( foreign or otherwise) aren't spreading their wings and heading this way -
One of the most popular games I've seen for boys was apple bobbing! Admittedly it was summer butch guess you could suspend the apples from string and see if they can bite them? Added bonus you could have several at once doing it...
