Giff Gaff use the O2 network. I've been looking at buying a new mobile outright and then signing up to giff gaff. Over the 24 months of a usual contract it should work out about half the price of what I've paid over the last 2 years. You just have the initial upfront cost of the mobile.

It actually goes over 5 days so maybe expect a few more fireworks. Also the law specifically states that fireworks can be set off up to 1am on certain festivals including Diwali.

I used an online estate agent a couple of years and sold my house within a month. It was advertised on all the main property web sites where all the other estate agents list as well. If you're willing to do a bit of the work yourself ie show people round your house, then you can save thousands. The one I used had various levels of payment, either all up front or part up front and part on completion. Their fee was a few hundred pounds instead of a few thousand. Great value and great service.

Thanks for alerting us to this As one of the residents next to this I certainly have not seen any consultation on it. I've only just had a quick scan through the application but it seems to take away the whole car park and leave no parking for the football club. I've seen the car park very full on match days and there doesn't seem to be any consideration for where this traffic will go. It also takes away the public entrance to the football club. Where is this going to go?

I normally check the Money Saving Expert webiste on the best deals for travel money. It's totally impatial and shows up how bad the banks really are and all the hidden charges on their cards. Have you reported this to the police? It's a very serious offence and unless they're told then they don't these things are happening. Even if it's just an email to the Safer Neighbourhoods team.

I might be going against the grain here on the issue of charging for a trolley, but I thought it was a good idea, if a bit inconvenient. It's stopped the lazy people who live in my estate (next to Sainsbury's) from wheeling their shopping home and then leaving the trolly in the street. I quite often used to see 3 or 4 trollies in the road making the area start to look pretty horrible. If the residents that did this took their trollies back then I'm sure we wouldn't have to rent a trolly to shop.
