  1. Forgive me if this has been a thread before! But does anyone have any opinion on a bugaboo bee vs cameleon for a newborn - and for ongoing months? Thank you
  2. Hi Jane, I've booked for 18 which should allow for more any extras. So please do join us - the more the merrier! All the best Sophie
  3. VENUE CHANGE!!!! Hello ladies, What a good turn out for saturday. Unfortunately when I rang to increase our booking number, the lovely man at Blue Mountain said he couldn't really accommodate more than 10 on a Saturday morning. He really wanted to but was a bit worried about logistics. So I have taken a leaf out of Jo's book and reserved Franklins on Lordship Lane. I've booked 18 to be on the safe side! It's for 10am when they open. I hope this is ok. See you all then and enjoy one born every minute tonight! Sophie x
  4. Good morning all - lovely to hear that everyone is well and can make breakfast. So... I've rung Blue Mountain and booked for 10am for this Saturday 7th Jan under: Sophie H. I've said there will be 10 of us, but I can always amend if our numbers grow. They have said that if it's busy they might sit us in an upstairs room they have. I hope this sounds ok? If not, I can always look at alternative venues. I'm hoping as it's Jan it will be quiet, but these might be famous last words!! Looking forward to seeing you all on Sat. Sophie
  5. Happy New Year to everyone! I hope all had lovely and relaxing Christmases. I wondered if anyone would be interested in meeting up this coming Saturday 7th Jan or in 2 weeks time, Saturday 21st Jan. We could do another breakfast - I hear Blue Mountain cafe on Northcross Road is nice and is very spacious for buggies etc. Or we could meet mid afternoon for coffee - maybe same location, but feel free to suggest alternatives - I'm afraid I'm not fully fledged with East Dulwich meeting points yet! I am happy to organise if people are free. Just let me know. Sophie x
  6. Thanks for organising, Jo, that sounds lovely. See you all on Saturday. X
  7. Hello ladies, I'd love to join the breakfast meet on 17th Dec and I'll also PM my email address in case we do decide to set up an email list. I've got my 22 week scan on Weds so I'll update with blue or pink accordingly! Hope everyone is feeling well. Sophie
  8. Lochie/ Rosie, thank you so much - that book sounds perfect for as you quite rightly say: 'the other side'! I will order a copy at lunch. Might even tempt the husband to read it too. JJ - good to hear your scan went well. Speak to people soon, Sophie
  9. Hello ladies, I'm afraid I definitely can't make the 8th (going to brave my xmas party that night drink-free) but would be free for a Saturday morning coffee on 26th Nov or 17th Dec if anyone fancies a pre-xmas meet-up. Very exciting to hear about all these upcoming scans - Jo I hope yours went well today! Hope all are well. Sophie ps Is anyone reading any books about the first weeks of baby's life? If so, can anyone recommend a good one? Bit overwhelmed by Amazon's offerings!
  10. I'm afraid I can't do 8th. Works Xmas party (albeit a very sober affair for us expectant mums this year!) I could do 1st Dec, but if everyone can do 8th stick to that and I will definitely tag along next time! Sophie
  11. I had a lovely time last week too and am definitely up for meeting again. But I can't do 24th, I'm afraid. If it's the following week I'm free, or I'll happily meet you all at the next time. Sophie
  12. Just seen this list - that's brilliant. Thank you, Jo! Lots of March babies. I'll look forward to asking lots of advice for my April arrival! See you all on 3rd Nov. ps - Caroline (Midivydale), hope you're doing ok. x
  13. Hi Monkey Moped, Yes everyone is welcome - the more the merrier! See you on 3rd but i don't think anyone's agreed a location yet, so no doubt we'll talk about that nearer the time. Sophie
  14. 3rd November is good for me actually! What do others think?
  15. Hi everyone, I too really enjoyed meeting you all and I'd definitely like to meet again at the end of Oct. I'm away on Sat 29th- Sun 30th Oct, but can do anytime the weekend before or the one after. Sophie
  16. Great. Are there any other first time mums joining on the 1st? Looking forward to meeting everyone.
  17. I'm expecting my first as well and also work full time. I'm also free on Oct 1st if anyone fancies a morning cup of (decaff) tea!
  18. Hi Rebecca and midivydale, I am expecting my first baby on April 6th next year. Bit too poorly with morning sickness for a meet up yet, but would love to once feeling more human! Sophie
  19. X
  20. I would like to second Sara at Haart. She was brilliant and was the estate agent who finally got us a home in ED - after we'd been trying to buy for two years.

Well I know that air seychelles are doing two for one deals at the moment, but sadly tickets are not included as part of this deal.
  22. Is anyone going to The Seychelles in the near future, and would like to buy ?66 worth of Seychelles Rupees from me for ?50? I have just got back and realised this is a restricted currency. Thank you
  23. How about a decent pharmacy that sells skin care products and make up? And yes, I am still petitioning for a Waitrose!

    Cost of Tiling?

HI there - I need a splashback tiling around my kitchen - it's a single tile width all the way around and the kitchen is L-shaped and about 5m by 4m. Does anyone know how much I should be paying for this? Any advice gratefully received.
