HI, this may not be the right place, but can anyone recommend an orthodontist who does fixed braces for adults? I've had a quote from Dulwich Dental Beauty today and it's a lot for bottom teeth - £3.5k! Any other recommendations welcome. Thank you

Charter School East Dulwich - your view
SJK replied to 123abc123abc's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi there, now it's Sep, can I ask any parents with children at East Dulwich Charter school how it is going? I am looking at senior schools for next year. I know that the North Charter has it's outstanding ofsted - not that it's all about that - but is Charter East Dulwich the same standard? And more importantly, are the new year sevens enjoying it? Thank you -

This seems like a gross over exaggeration. I've never noticed "hordes" of vans or motorhomes lining the streets of ED. Yes, there are a few here and there but at least they are not a permanent fixture!

Also, having parking bays marked out the length of every street and the multitude of signs and parking meters that will go with them will look horrible. It will really spoil the lovely residential streets in ED.

There have been complaints from our MP, councillors, and the public. Of course they know about the problems in East Dulwich. God help us if this is the attitude of post office management. -

I have the same issues... Post once a week if we are lucky. Post for a different address on multiple occasions and even a parcel for another address that required a signature shoved through our letter box! It must be nearly 2 months since the sorting office closed and still no improvement. -

thank you, both. I will investigate! that's very helpful.

Apologies if this info is on another thread, but is there a place needing donations of good quality women's clothes? Looking to drop off tomorrow. Thanks

Hello, after years without a proper holiday, me and the two small SJKs need a holiday. Does anyone have any recommendations for Spain holidays with two pre-schoolers? Thanks for any inspiration!

Thank you, Midivydale! that is so reassuring. I don't want to hinder her progress in any way, but all the same, it is important timing!

Hi there, Could anyone tell me what the law is regarding a four year old missing one week of school please? She starts school this Autumn, but we have just realised we need to make a trip abroad in the middle of the first term. Thanks

Hello, I wondered if anyone had put Harris Primary as their first choice for the school selection for this year? Many thanks

Hi, our daughter is due to start at Heber Nursery this September. She has a place for Mon-wed. I thought it could help her settle in if she knew one or two other children attending. So, if there are any mums out there who are thinking the same and who'd like to meet up, please PM us. Thank you Sophie

Ah thank you so much for the help. Yesterday we had a go at the dot and loved it, so it is now purchased! Thank you again Sophie

Hi, I'm hoping for some advice. I have a newborn and nearly three year old (but the todder is not keen on walking!) I am looking at buying a Phil and teds with double seat. But which model should I get? I've heard good reviews of the dot, but today the shop told me I can't use the bottom seat until my baby is 3 months old. Does this sound right?! In short could anyone recommend one model over the other? I'd be very grateful for advice. Many thanks!

Hi there, I'm officially on maternity leave now. Yippee! Couldn't do that commute across London anymore! I was planning on taking toddler to Goose Green playground on Monday (to wear her out ;-)) but could definitely be tempted by coffee. Where is good for people? Anya, thanks again for setting up the what's app group. I sent a message to wish you good luck for Monday but I'm not sure I'm using this app right yet, so in case you didn't recieve it, best wishes and can't wait to hear the news of your arrival. Speak soon Sophie x -

Hi everyone. I'm so sorry I couldn't make the recent meet up. I am still feeling washed out and apparently am very anaemic - so that explains my couch potato status! But I am up for any weekend meets. I hope everyone is well and getting excited about impending arrivals. Take care, Sophie x
