  1. Me too - not so bad I can warrant a day off work, but very bunged up/low energy. Sore throat. Has been 8 days now :-(
  2. Anyone know of any displays tomorrow? (Sunday) Seems to be lots of people about tonight & loads of traffic so I guess they are still happening! Haven't had a chance to see any this year yet :(
  3. Hi all, I have just noticed this thread is dedicated to the wonderful Wood Vale (I am also a resident - Woodlands Court, 91 Wood Vale) and just wanted to let it be known that I am a Nanny (CRB checked, First Aid trained with full clean driving licence and car)and babysitter! I currently look after a 4 year old boy in East Dulwich, however I have some availability this week and wondered if my help may be needed with a child aged 2.5 years or up? I am available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30am-4.30pm. I charge ?10 per hour and a minimum of 4 hours is required. With the wonderful Hornimans Park on our doorstep, a nice day out could be had! If this sounds of interest to anyone, please do send me a private message on here, or call or text me on 07981 854 435. Many thanks, Becky ----Edited to add: My evening babysitting rate is ?7 per hour :-)
  4. I get the 12 everyday to and from work, so in both rush-hours (and literally from start of route to end!)Takes around 1hr 15mins minutes(sometimes less depending on traffic at Whitehall/Trafalgar Square) but I just read my book so suits me. As I get on at the starting point of each journey, I now always get a seat upstairs, and am generally sitting alone (on my 2 seats) until Camberwell (fills up quicker coming back). Getting on at Oxford Circus is no longer a crush to get on a grab a seat either. I much prefer it, and have noticed they come alot more frequently. (tu) from me!

  6. Haha ryedalema! I bet you looked dashing! ;-)
  7. Agree 100% with Mr Poole. Excuses Excuses. These youths choose crime because they think they can get away with it, pure & simple. They wanted TV's & trainers and saw the perfect opportunity. I hope every last one of them gets caught and are dealth with appropriately.
  8. ED update anyone??
  9. Any more updates? Is ED now quiet?
  10. > Utter Tosh - these people have no 'cause', they > looked like they were having a 'right laugh' on > the news footage. Mindless violence, detsroying > homes, businesses and lives - I struggle to find a > justifiable context to that....... Agreed.
  11. Why don't they just bring in the military?? I'm actually quite scared now, it's too close.
  12. Thanks everyone! Will have a look at them all :)
  13. Hi all, Looking for a nice B&B in Brighton to get away for 1st wedding anniversary. Been to a few over the years, but have always been searching for something better... Have you been anywhere particularly nice? Do you come from there, and know someone who runs a lovely little establishment? Thanks for any help! (tu)
  14. The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. I read this when I went to France for a week a couple of years ago, I absolutely fell in love with it. Absolutely fantastic, couldn't put it down. I have his next book ready and waiting for France again in September!
  15. Hi GGPTA, I have some (not loads!) of these too - can you give me an address to send them too please? Thanks, Becky
