  4. Hi all I'm going back to work next week and my 8 month old refuses formula (soy formula). She is intolerant to dairy. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can give her? Are the soya yoghurts okay for babies? Or alpro soya deserts? Just worried about her calcium needs. She is still breastfed.
  5. the NUK bottle worked for one of mine.
  6. My middle child stopped screaming in the car once she was in a forward facing carseat (she clawed at her eyes once and made them bleed). My youngest is now 7mths and has finally stopped screaming (she just leans forward and arches her neck so she can stare at me round the carseat the entire journey). I think it's mainly babies who like being carried alot that cry in prams and carseats. I know two children who have always been carsick but they actually vomit rather than scream. No useful advice except to say that they really do grow out of it and seem to forget that they ever felt that way. Oh, a small piece of advice: work out whether she cries less if she needs a nap or has just had a nap and fit journeys around that. I only drive places at certain times of the day.
  7. all of my girls have eczema. Is controlled in eldest but waiting for allergy testing in other two. I did however stop all dairy 4 wks ago and last week started using vaseline (petroleum jelly) on their skin with amazing/astonishing results! Have no idea if it is simply that the dairy is out of their system or that the vaseline is keeping moisture in and irritants out but it worked for us.
  8. I'm on my fifth pram and wld def say get a maclaren (get the more expensive type with better wheels and the back that lays flat)
  9. peanuts and almonds. Peanut is a very severe one for her. It's really scary. Good to know that the risk is quite low.
  10. I have a daughter with severe allergies. Apart from Macdonalds which restaurants are guaranteed to be nut-free?
  11. My baby is in the group of babies who need the flu jab but our surgery has run out, we have been trying for 2wks. Does anyone know where I can go to get her vaccinated?
  12. Greyhound cars are able to store carseats at their office after dropping you off and bring them when they collect you. I use them when we go on holiday
