  1. Yes I dont mind taking her she d spent time in a pub till one am when she was 3 months old :))What a shame not many celebrations are child friendly...
  2. What is ETD and by the way can we take a 1year old to any of these???
  3. Hello All After such a long silence am back to report the situation :) First of all thanks all for sharing the ideas so I know now what to do, To update you all on what happened..... couple of weeks ago the granny took the child away ,I ve notices the grandparents coming to pick them up sometimes and it looks different the way they treat her to the mum,at least that's my observation,I was dead busy with my studies and was away for a while in Cornwall and just came back and they did not seem to be there today. So don't know exactly what happened but did not hear any swearing for a while, However if it is gonna happened again,I do do hope it won't I will call the authorities since I think that's the best think to do(thanks to the considerate mums and dads and childminders etc etc). Hope she sorted her issues what ever they were and treating the child well. Thanks everyone again . hugs Sam X
  4. I hope I did not offend you Iain.Did not mean to but when I read my post it sound a bit unfriendly, sorry about that,I ma not a good English speaker ...:)
  5. Iain I don't think I want to go downstairs and talk to her I am afraid,on the few occasions we spoke with her she was pretty unfriendly and I don't want her to know that its me who reported the scene in the event that I have to report this to the authorities. They used to play really loud music there till like 5 in the morning on weekends and would not really turn it down even if we asked them to.(This is before her partner left her ) She is the type of person who shut the door on your face so last thing \I want to do is knock on her door. About me misunderstanding the whole issues is possible but very unlikely,I clearly heard her filthy scolds for hours this morning and the child crying each time she screamed in filth. I dont think any mother should call her children big F words in my opinion. And I certainly don't want to hear them, glad my child is too little to notice, Sam
  6. Thanks Cora and Sophiesofa about the tips.I thought of the HV too but I did not know how confidential it is,(I dont want to put my self and my family in trouble, coz you simply don't know what people might do) I will wait till my partner comes back from work and do something soon,it was traumatizing listening to the incident this morning and your comments really helped. Better get back to my studies now :)exams in a weeks time........ Cheers All
  7. There is a "mother" and a little girl living on our ground floor and I have heard her scolding that little girl in utter filth many many times and she cries a lot during the day.I know its not my business but as a mother I cant bear to hear that child cries like this. Does anyone know what I can do?This morning was the worst of all.She screams at the child like a wolf.I cant see them from our flat so I cant say that she hits her or anything.Should I just shut up and ignore this nasty mother (I think she is the mother, she had a man living with her but not anymore) .I can hear her cry while writing this, poor thing.....I think she must have locked her an somewhere,i can hear her banging on a door or something

    Great Gigs

Hey all First of all I have to say I dont even know what gig means but it sounds like just what I need after some painstaking exams that I will be finishing soon. Can some of you GIG experts tell me what would suit me if I write down what sort of things I like normally, sorry for being a bit clueless but hope some one can help me here. I love music from bands like U2,Kasabian,Metalica,Nirvana,Guns n Roses,Aerosmith,Eagles and many more,Basically anything but non POP .So I think I am sort of a Rock person. I will be free as a bird ( sort of When the little one is in bed) after 27 the November and would love to go out and have some real fun,but there has to be a place that I can dance a bit too. Can anyone help please:) Cheers Sam

  12. Pickle ,my one ate those absolutely plain sour yogurt without any fuss:)I know even I would not eat it to be honest without a dollop of honey (she had it with banana and raisins and a secretly added biscuit) went down well. x

  14. Thanks Pickle and MG, the thing with her is,she fed her self slowly but well at around 7 months since I stared BLW and then stupid me went back to puree because I was concerned about the quantity and now my LO does not even try to pick things up and put in her mouth.not very keen on lumpy food either.May be texture of my food is wrong:-$oh god I dont know.... I gave her some bits of toast this afternoon and she ate a bit when i fed her but she wont even hold it in her hand.I dont know why.So I am clueless as to how to give her finger food.
  15. Dear mums and dads Our little one who used to eat bowls of food, specially her apple cereal hates the sight of her food since last Friday. She wont eat anything home made but will have few mouthfuls of jar foods or banana, that's all. I don't understand whats wrong with her, thought its teething since her first two teeth can be felt but they ve been like that for months .. She will have her breastfeeds happily but no no to solids and she does not seems to be hungry either, very cheerful and happy till she sees the spoon and the bib . This is making me feel really stressed even though I sort of try my best to feel RELAXED about it,I don't know how to. Please please Help !! Cheers Sam

  17. Hi sandy Rose Sorry i did not have time to read the whole thread.Albany were GREAT for me.I was 6 months preg when I came to the UK and could not even reg with the GP for another month till I got my address proof.I tried calling and e mailing Albany but it did not work and next thing I know was that I was knocking on their door at Peckham puls and was almost in tears (6+ preg no GP have not been checked by a doc for few months bla bla bla). Their list was full but mw asked me to come next day for their antenatal group for a chat, and that was it.I got the best couple of MWs i could ve ever imagined and they were there through out my 4 1/2 DAYS labour at home. From my exp they always somehow get you in to their list . They are angels.Good luck hope you will get some lovely care. XX Sam
