  1. Daniel There are many threads on this forum on this subject, have a look. The subject brings out the vey worst in some people, ref Louisa above for starters, so be prepared for a bumpy ride in this thread. Personally I have every sympathy for you and double glazing with ear plugs worked for me but if that's not possible I suggest a white noise machine with a snooze setting.
  2. I'm in the same position. If they own the flat you can do nothing (CRAZY) but if they are renting from the council you are in luck. I use ear plugs and a white noise machine. Good luck as I know what you are going through.
  3. I can confirm it's a terrible racket in Herne Hill too and not just in the morning. I get City Airport on top of all the others. Double glazing and ear plugs are the answer.
  4. This happened to me until I got double glazing. The noise is especially bad if you have shaky wooden sash windows. I would recommend getting a white noise machine, I use a baby one. As soon as the plane noise happens, switch the white noise one, usually has snooze setting and you should be able to nod off again.
  5. Is this the same guy http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/linda-barker-fitness-secrets-how-1556362? She looks amazing.
  6. Sue just found this thread. I'd love to visit Beth Chatto's garden if you are planning it. Or some of the winter gardens more suitable at the mo.
  7. Ruskin Park is beautiful.
  8. My friend's caravan was also stolen just before Glastonbury a few years back.
