trinidad replied to trinidad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
the two ladies were back this morning. This occasion, both had shopping trolleys. One of the trolleys appeared to be full to the brim. Both were smoking this time. -

Hello alica, so sorry you feel frustrated, that is not my intention. I would not say i noticed alot, just notice what was happening as I walked along the road. In regards to how i knew if they were eastern European, it was a guess on how they appeared, again so sorry you have got upset with this. No, if you look at the first post, there was no interaction at all, i just saw them going from bin to bin. Again, so sorry you think I made assumptions they were eastern European, but again they did look of this ilk. So sorry you feel your polish friend might be extremely upset if she read my comments. If the bin raiders looked black or Indian, i would of said the same thing. Lets not get into a race war, perhaps i should mention them next time as "women" but then, is that an assumption also??? perhaps "people" next time. Have a fantastic day -

For me its the idea, that someone so brasan can come through the gate, walk up to the path, and start going through my bins. I do wonder if your right that they are looking for things to use or sell, or worse identity information -
Hello All, Was passing along Copleston Road on Thursday. I notice two eastern European women walking along the road, opening gates, and ploughing through residents wheelie bin rubbish. One of the women came equipped with a two wheel shopping trolley. One of the women found a jumper in a bin, and passed it to her friend, who placed it in the wheelie bin. Why do we have this sort of thing in 2016??

trinidad replied to trinidad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
thank you both for the responses -
Hello all, forgive me if this is already mentioned elsewhere. For the last week or so, Diversion signs have been erected, directed road users along Belendon Road, and "road closure" signs in place, half way along Copleston road. Does anyone know what the road people are actually doing, and when the road will reopen again?

Hello fellow ED residents, I, like many received a hand delivered letter yesterday from Transport for London. The letter is consulting with the proposed extension of bus 42, into ED Sainsburys. The the downside, Sunray Avenue will no longer be served, yellow lines at the bottom of Red Post Hill with Sunray Avenue. Please comment below, and more importantly, please submit your views to the online survey by Sunday 6th March 2016: https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/bus-route-42

There lots of stores along Lordship Lane and Grove Vale. We are always encourage to support our local high street, so wanted to know if you have a favorite store along these two streets? You might get excellant / personal customer service "Good morning Mr smith..." or the prices may be really competitive? it might be, because the store offer a personal touch, or security do not follow your every move? start your responses with the name of the store, and your reasons why.

Hello All, I have noticed recently, many people seem to park close to the entrance of the Sainsbury's at Dog Kennel Hill, even in Disabled bays and Child & parent spaces. Is this because there is no enforcement during some opening times? Is it fine to do so during later times (ie after 9pm) any thoughts?

Dulwich Leisure Centre..poor management

My experience of the gym instructors have been rather different. Firstly, i have never seen instructors "hanging around the reception chatting" generally, they are in the gym, after all, thats there office. I notice they are at the podium sometimes, in front of a PC. For me, i have genrally found the staff quite polite, and easy to approach, sorry if thats not the norm, but I can only talk about my own experience. I was originally on the gym referral scheme, in-which the customers have a number of needs. A Personal trainer looked after the group, and even gave us individual work out plans, with lots of encouragement. Again sorry if this is not your experience. I do agree however there appears to be a ongoing plumbing issue and the card reader is touch and go, both of these problems i have seen since last summer. Unfortunantly, i have not been at the gym recently, just too cold to go, terrible excuse i know :( -
Hello All, I thought I would warn drivers who drive into Copleston Road, and then drive through the no entry signs into Oglander Road, not too. Southwark Council or TFL have installed a camera at the start of Copleston road this year. No one consulted the residents, just install a camera and let the money come in!!!!

What would you change in the South Camberwell ward?
trinidad replied to benmaitland's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hello Ben, I am really glad you posted. I live in Copleston Road, which comes under South Camberwell ward. Main issues for me is: Saltash - dreadful contracting company who did not provide a good service for me. The company carried out external painting from february this year, till June. My door numbers have been left in the same position since July, wen my door was painted. I have raised a complaint with Southwark Council, but little has happoned. My neighbour on my left is in her early 90's, her back door was not pained, even though I informed saltash more than once. My neighbour on my right is unable to open her windows, after the company painted the windows closed. My seconfd issue is recycling. I often have my garden waste bin missed by the bin people, which results in contacting the councils contact cerntre. -
I have been waiting since July for my numbers to be refitted to my door. Saltash pained my street door in July. I have already raised a complaint with Southwark Council, and received a poor response. I cant see anywhere to go with this, other than esculate the complaint to the review stage. Southwark council and taltash are hopeless

Hello all, Southwark council are undertaking there annual voting registration, along with other councils at the moment. In August, Southwark sent out every household there HEF to complete (Household Enquiry form) which asks households to confirm who can vote in each household. For those who did not response, canvassers have been sent across the borough to support households to complete there forms. In October Individual Registration forms will be sent and delivered by canvassers to confirm new voters identity. Dont lose your right to vote, make sure you complete and return.
