Hey doogsey, Enforcement of the CPZ commences on Monday 30th March 2020 with daily patrols from Enforcement Parking Officers. I am sure they will also ticket those who have a wheel on or over the white lines, I am sure there will be alot of tickets issues in the first week :(

no need for sorry, you just got me worried, that roads would have their unique times. I think as people said, ask the cleaner to come after 11am or you would sadly have to pay the high parking charges.

Are you sure Bellingdon road is 11am - 1pm? Copleston road is 9:00am - 11:00am I assumed the same times would be in the zone on each of the 28 affected streets?

Has anyone from the new zone purchased their ?125.00 virtual permit? I am very intrigued on the experience?

From what I understand from the communication from the borough, when residents were asked if they wanted a CPZ, the overwelming said no, but when residents were asked if they would consider a CPZ if there was a CPZ a few streets by, residents said yes, and it was the second datat that was used to secure the CPZ - very crafty

Yes I was posting at 3am, and i was not losing sleep at all, fare from it - not everyone works 9 - 5. itrs difficult to see my ?125.00 as a gift to Southwark, also you dont know my finances!! One thing I do agree is the libraries are still open in the borough which is great, in fact over the last few years the council has even built to new ones which I think is only a positive thing. It feels the labour borough has a war on cars in the borough. I do feel about the pollution, but I feel strongly that most residents in the CPZ voted against the decision.

I assume the 9am start is to stop the commuters parking (the roads close to ED train station have lots of commuter parking. I think the council did want all day restrictions, but objections made it two hours per day. shame the annual charge was not altered either :(

Hello Ling, I received my letter from Southwarks Highways Transport Projects dated 6th February 2020, do you live in any of the 28 roads listed in the first message? The scheme commences enforcement on Monday 30th March 2020, and from what i have read, the earliest residents can purchase a resident permit is on 2nd March 2020 - it will cost you ?125.00 a year

if you say so, so how do u get a two hour vister permit, when 1 hour, five hours and a day is offered?

I notice two of the signs on bellingdon road have had the black rubbish bin removed, and therefore being displayed, eben the the scheme is not in place.

Thank you, the more i read in the information about visitor parking permits, the more my head hurts. There seems to be virtual parking permits which you have to open a parking account for. They seem to cost ?1.60 for an hour, but no mention of two hours which are the restrictions for our CPZ. Then there are paper booklets, where you scratch dates and trhings off. but these are all day visitor permits and cost ?29.00 for ten (?2.90 per person all day). I am so dreaded all these rules and regulations, let alone the money to pay, I know there will, be lots of tickets issued, just for the confusion. The letter received from southwark parking mentioned a visitor voucher, i dont know if that is another scheme, or one of the two above???? Also the parking by phone mentioned in the southwark letter is ?2.75 per hour. Is it me, or is this really confusing? I thought there was also meant to be free short stay parking.

anyone know what to do if you have a visitor with a car during operational times? is it pay by phone, coin machine or am i responsible for getting vouchers?

I see white lines have been painted on my street. I intend to use my democratic vote based on this experience - your simply cant trust the current Councillors

so, despite most residents objecting to the plans to make our streets a controlled parking zone, the council ignored these objections, and will now make the following roads as part of the zone: Adys Road Amott Road Avondale Road Bellenden Road Besant Place Chadwick Road Choumert Road Copleston Road Danby Street East Dulwich Road Everthorpe Road Fenwick Grove Fenwick Road Gowlett Road Grove Vale Hayes Grove Howden Street Keston Road Maxted Road Marseden Road Muschamp Road Nutbrook Street Oglander Road Ondine Road Oxenford Sreet Soames Street Waghorn Street Wingfield Street The lines are now painted, the signs have been fitted and covered with bin liners. My heart goes out to you and son - disgusting behaviour from a grown man on a child. Happy2 is right, this man needs to be sought and brought before the magistrates. The bus company will have video footage of the man in question, and as there are many cameras on the side of buses, the assault may of been recorded from start to finish. What is the police saying? If your son is still attending school, i think the school also needs to be made aware. Lastly, might be good to check on your son with a quiet word, to see if he is aok and reassurance that he did not do anything wrong. I cant imagine how he felt on the day, let alone using that bus stop again. He may also be worried bumping into this thug again on the route. He may want to talk to yourself or someone else. There are many good people in the world!!!
