  1. ... Hence why I quoted Martin Luther King, Malcholm X, Thomas Sowell {& the list can continue if you like}. Be part of the solution, not the problem. If you're not willing to listen, then you're not willing to learn. This thread should be left for people like DulwichBorn&Bred & Blah Blah. Some of the rest of you are just pointless.
  2. For a predominantly leftist forum that loves to throw the word "racist" around, I am disappointed that not a single one of you is willing to engage in a discussion with the intention of finding a solution. Congratulations. You are all apart of the problem. Don't bother fixing it. Get back to your hype over white journalists nobody cares about, media & BBC.

Exactly. TheCat, If you are willing to understand & if need be enlightened, you are on the right path. The same cannot be said for the negative messages of unwillingness to solve the problem. I'll just place these right here. Maybe these people can educate themselves, because Martin Luther King & Malcholm X clashed in their solution, but they both agreed on one thing; that the left could not be trusted. Thomas Sowell: Let that sink in. Alveda King {MLK's niece}, Candace Owens https://www.instagram.com/realcandaceowens/.... two black women who voted for Trump. You have to question why that is.   5. It's extremely hard to get anything out on a forum that is meant to provide locals with important information without hurting the feelings of an admin/moderator, but here goes: /forum/read.php?20,2117352 . The original thread was taken down for exposing the fox killer's address. We cannot be doing this. The original thread was made by another neighbour, not Jackie. Heather {The Wingless Bird}
  6. If this is the purpose of it being lounged, will you allow me to remove it for you, as it in no way takes from it being a serious & local issue that our community should be made aware of? Heather, The Wingless Bird
  7. The following post was originally written & is being lead by @Jackie Maloney {https://www.facebook.com/jackie.maloney.505} "Hi i would like to bring to your attention that a man in East Dulwich has killed a family of foxes, one fox got away and died a terrible death with a trail of blood over 4 gardens 1 cub remaining..... i respect people's options they dislike foxes but to kill the way this man has done i feel is inhuman.... Also i would like to add that the man that shot the foxes told the police it "wasnt a good shot" this is a worry to me as the bullet could pass through the fox and hit something i.e cat dog human ....RSPCA checked the fox over on 28/5/20 two days after it had been shot NO BULLET was found... What this man done has caused a lot of emotional stress to neighbours and they have to live next to him so i am asking if anyone does not agree with this could you please contact me through PM or reply with your comments as we would like to arrange a peaceful protest around the East Dulwich area (social distance).. I HAVE TO ADD THERE IS MORE TO THIS POST THAT I CAN NOT ADD AT THE MOMENT THAT YOU WILL ALL BE HORRIFIED AT ....WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT I WILL POST.... IF ANYONE IS AGAINST THIS PLEASE PM ME FOR MORE INFO.... TROLLS PLEASE DONT OR I WILL REPORT YOU." Please contact @Jackie Maloney {https://www.facebook.com/jackie.maloney.505} directly to show your support, provide helpful advice & participate in a peaceful protest, to protect our urban wildlife & keep our community safe! 🦊🌿 - The original post on the EDF facebook page was removed due to being hijacked.   9. East Dulwich has some pretty impressive street art. The kingfisher & "fight club" have been my personal top favorites! But, if you've been self-isolating for the past few months, you may not be aware that an NHS mural recently popped up in April, on the shutters of Rise & Bloom, Barry Road, & it's incredible. Tracked & discovered this artist on instagram & turns out he's currently in the process of creating another masterpiece right beside this one, on that empty patch of wall outside Barry's, this weekend. There's a few teasers on his stories @ https://www.instagram.com/atila_8t4/ & so excited to see the finishing piece! Sadly, I'm all stocked up on eggs, otherwise I would have used it as an excuse to feed my curiousity 😅 I hope everyone's taking good care of themselves. Heather {The Wingless Bird}
  10. Uhh... EDguy89, did you just pull apart my comment to prove my point? You are linking articles to unrelated incidences. That is the definition of reaching. Should I pull up every article for black on white crime & draw the conclusion that it's race-driven? No. Your response is rich with speculation, not facts, so I cannot comment. Also, I'm only putting my 2 cents in, not here for a political or race debate. Kthanxbai. JohnL Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > https://www.cbsnews.com/news/rapper-killer-mike-pl > eads-with-atlanta-demonstrators-to-burn-systemic-r > acism-not-specific-targets/ I caught this last night & found it very powerful. He's a very eloquent speaker & completely agree with his passion. Police brutality is insane in the USA. This could not be a more appropriate time to shed light on the issue & bring change {without violence & the burning down of cities}. Stay safe, guys. Heather {The Wingless Bird}
  11. JohnL Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Lots of "black lives matter" chants - they have > the right to protest and what happened in the > States was disgusting. Except literally nobody is disagreeing with that. We are all shaken by this - it's horrific & I am furious. But pinning an evil act by one person on & against an entire race is just reaching. I've yet to see any evidence that this was race-driven. Just a soulless scumbag exercising power he should never have been given.
  12. Has anyone attempted to contact a shelter for a TNR of the territorial stray? I'll keep a look out for Theo {& if you need any help with printing &/or pinning a few flyers just email me on [email protected]} Kindest, Heather {The Wingless Bird} purple01 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- they're worried because it was only recently attacked by the big tabby stray that is on heat / very territorial atm.

  14. This is so sad. Can a moderator please whip away the details of their location so not to bring unwanted attention? There's a lot of unfair speculation when in reality any one of us could find ourselves in a similar situation, so as macutd has already said, please try to put yourselves in their shoes... I'll make an attempt to help them this evening, but they may just wish to be left alone & we need to respect their wishes {& privacy!} Heather {The Wingless Bird} EDIT: Thanks, Snake!
  15. If you think a wildlife crime is being committed then you can report it to the Police Wildlife Crime Unit online or by calling 101. You can also report wildlife crime anonymously to Crimestoppers, by calling calling 0800 555 111. 16. first mate, my thoughts exactly!
  17. Sammy, please contact The Fox Project http://foxproject.org.uk/! I will do the same as I'd be very interested to know how they would deal with this situation & if there is any way we can at least have these foxes relocated. You say the RSPCA are coming round to inspect the body for cause of death... These horrific images appear to have been taken in someone's garden. Did this happen in your garden?!
  18. Since the 2m distancing has been such a rare sighting, I don't think there are many people in a position to do this?

Well, if this is how labour-voting East Dulwich responds to a pandemic I can't say I'm impressed.
  20. These people need to be rewired to clean up after themselves, otherwise the only message we are sending them is that somebody else will do it for them. A camera, warden & the right to give out warnings & fines to those who litter the parks - it's so depressing that we should have to do this in 2020 but clearly we're living in some Darwinian In Reverse times.

  22. Yes! That's a Bengal or a Bengal tabby mix at least! At a glance I thought this might have been one of my clients', but it is not, & he's a male. If you can't take him in to The Neighbourhood Vets to get scanned for ID {I know they're very busy right now}, perhaps giving them a call or email to find out if they have any missing female Bengals on record? Kindest, Heather {The Wingless Bird}
  23. Cats will choose their owners, just as they choose their favourite member of the household. If I am wrong, then I would suggest putting a note on the collar as they're obviously not here on this forum because you've been repeating the same message since Novemeber.

If all you are giving is food, water & shelter, they are very likely to wander & settle where they feel more wanted. Cats require regular stimulation. That means they need attention; social interraction; cuddles &/or play. You can't expect them to hang around otherwise. Sorry.
