Been living in Herne Hill and East Dulwich all my life and it's got much worse than it ever was. Oh and I ferry to France for holidays! So there is no harm in commenting on the noise pollution that is just getting worse!!

Fantastic?. I could hear my bedside radio this morning without having to have it loud enough to hear over the normal continuous plane noise. Oh for an easterly wind and come on London let's stand up and say we don't want any more noise about us from 5am everyday.

I also agree with ZT's suggestion. It seems such an obvious answer.(below) Someone may have made this point already. However, it would surely be feasible to rephase the lights at the junction so that traffic would emerge from Calton Avenue into EDG while the traffic coming from Greendale was held at red; the traffic from Calton Avenue would then be held at red while the traffic from Greendale could then emerge into EDG (only a relatively limited time for this traffic would be needed because there is not much traffic leaving Greendale). This would then eliminate the need for a ban on a right turn from Calton Avenue into EDG, i.e. by far the most controversial aspect of the proposals.

Alleyns and Jags should park their coaches on their land. They both have room if they wanted to use it!

Has anyone mentioned the coach parking on EDG in front of Jags? If ever there was a dangerous bottleneck (caused by the coach parking)This is it! There is NO room for cyclist when passing these coaches.They should not be parked up on this very busy already dangerous road. WHY can they not park in the grounds of Jags or maybe Greendale, but not on the main road where there is Not room!

I totally agree that it doesn't need lights at all. Just some kind of help for pedestrians crossing and that doesn't have to be at the crossing! How did we cope before the lights were recently put in?!!

did your get a warning from the police for using the lamppost.Or were you on the pavement while using it? I use the lamppost and the worst that has happened so far is a dog weeing on the chain!

have you tried opening up the small door at the bottom of the machine to clear any coins screws etc. or making sure that all the filters are clear . these normally get mine going again. Sorry if you have already checked.

Might it be that, on review, they are planning to offer your daughter a place at your first choice school and communicated this - late in the day - to Elm Wood, but haven't managed to communicate to you yet? And of course now it's the bank holiday communication will be sorely limited until Tuesday. How frustrating & upsetting for you. Is Elm Wood Lambeth?

No. but if i did it wouldn't be in a quiet residential street with 3 schools within 100 yards!

does anybody know what permissions you need to setup a halfway house? There is one on the corner of Trossachs rd and Thorncombe rd and it seems very close to several schools for such a potentially problematic place to be.

my ticket was given about two months ago. I appealed and have not heard anything back. Sounds like I shouldn't worry about it.

Trossachs road was very good re decorations. One house even had a smoke gun going as they opened the door.and another had decorations going out onto the road and included a car!

i can't get into Outlook,(yesterday and today) neither can my wife.Outlook won't load onto our laptops. We can both get into it thru I Phones. Is this a problem in the area? Or has anybody got any ideas, pleased?

my ford galaxy got broken into(about 3 weeks ago) by screwdrivering the drivers door lock.another people carrier (Seat)was also done that night, it is obviously a weakness. they opened every compartment that they could find.I now have to use a steering lock and have filled my lock with silicone. I didn't relies it was that easy to break in!

Well we won 2-0 and we had one of our guys sent. The person next to me said it was for shirt pulling. But it looked to me like it was grabbing the the guys balls! Good to win

i must agree it's rubbish. I too couldn't give away my children's bikes.Too few people too few stalls. It should be on once a month only.
