  1. My wife and I were woken this morning at 4am by 3 guys on two scooters. They took the motorbike opposite us and wheeled it to the top of the road. Where they proceeded to try to smash their way into it's ignition switch.Sadly by the time i got dressed and out into the street they were riding off. Leaving the damaged bike in the middle of the road.Police came within 5 min's but missed them. Sadly 4am seems to be the time they come round, coinciding with our deep sleep.
  2. Dulwich United, they use Dulwich park as their home ground. Fixture Secretary Laurie Saunders eirualy@googlemail.com 07921 525 497

all you are doing is connecting the batteries together (in Parallel) it will still act as a 12 volt battery. You just need to be carful about how you connect up. The car then gets it's power from your battery not the bad one.
  4. go away Gudrun, we don't want you publicising a bad image of our area.
  5. Has anybody got a neighbourhood watch? If so how successful is it? Is it a pain to run? and how big is it?
  6. what happens if one is sited outside your house but you need a skip for building work?
  7. Well, we are going to have so much stuff dumped on the streets now!!
  8. Go to Ruskin Park it will be perfect for you.
  9. I would just like to say that it is fantastic to have somewhere I can take my 11 year old boy to enjoy an afternoon out. That is local, affordable, family friendly and where i meet and chat with others in my community. Good old DHFC don't knock it. There arn't many (if any) places like it in London.
  10. Just a thought! What do all the other football grounds around the country do? They must by much louder than DHFC
  11. the only time i see cops is at Sainsburys buying snacks!!
  12. Great match. We won 5-1 and there were 1700 odd people
  13. i always go to Ruskin park. Great view, easy access and a nice atmosphere
  14. Great for cyclists but makes it worse for cars as usual. Can't they improve it for cyclists without continuing to downgrade the situation for the car driver?
  15. Bast**ds!! How did they do it? ( in the 20 years that I have lived in East Dulwich I have had 5 Bikes stolen)
  16. Gor Blimey! Touchy lot.
  17. congestion, air pollution are pretty grim all over London it doesn't mean you have to have a, not in my road attitude. It just pushes the problem elsewhere!!!! So NO we don't agree with you. Creative solutions= spread Boris bikes further south. Extend tube lines south.Better tax breaks for electric cars etc

  21. well done for following and bringing to our attention. Thanks
  22. Well said Curmudgeon! It's good that somebody is able to tell the reality of what will happen. Naive and idealistic without a grip on reality, but i fear these planners just don't care about the local community and just want to make their project seem green, when all they have done in reality is pushed the cars elsewhere.
  23. Just returned from consultation. I am alarmed that there will be next to no parking available on site. They are hoping to discourage people driving to school by putting no parking on site. Get with the real world, this will mean more people trying to park in the already over full surrounding streets.Causing conflicts, double parking, illegal parking at best and accidents with cars and pedestrians at worst.
  24. Well said Penguin68
