  3. I have had a bad experience with a trader who was recommended on the forum under the name Ed plumbing services, forum name Ed plumber. We were unable to get hold of him after we'd parted with money, and I posted with our problem: /forum/read.php?30,2237808,2237956#msg-2237956 I see under the rules of posting for businesses 'Businesses must be based in East Dulwich and they must state their (trading) address' ? did he supply one? I'm asking now because I have been pm'd to say that we're not alone, and I really want to just warn people not to pay up front and be wary. ?200 for materials turned out to be a foot of copper pipe :)

The fact he's going to such lengths to avoid being implicated is really not helping his case. If he was innocent he just wouldn't behave like this. All rather depressing, but time Her Maj gave him the elbow.

    Get over it

One fairly straightforward way to raise a lot of money is to apply the NI rate at 12% across the board, rather than reduce it to 2% for those earning over ?50k. This could potentially raise an extra ?14bn according to https://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/ (if you're interested in the details). You could raise the threshold at the same time to make it fairer to the lowest earners.
  10. Uptick... horrible. Apparently there's a downtick as well ? I'd like to see a definate downtick on the use of uptick.

Thanks Malumbu, both good articles... makes a lot of sense, although it seems extraordinary the gulf in understanding shown by the West, well the US and ourselves, about what could be achieved and how. The main concern is that women appear to have absolutely no voice in all of this.

  14. A Makes no sense to drop all the measures when the number of infections are sky rocketing.
  15. I saw two female stag beetles at the weekend, one in the garden and one on the pavement (which I moved to a safer place). Is this a bit late for them? We used to get male stag beetles flying around the garden at the end of May, but didn't see any this year.
  16. Ask for a referral to a dermatologist, should be no problem for your GP to do this, good luck! PS in my experience diet changes didn't help, and can feel like it's your fault for eating the wrong things, reckon it's mostly genes...

  18. Well I'm not impressed by notimpressed's comments, I think the allotment expansion plan is an excellent one, I've added my vote to the Albrighton Estate suggestion.

  21. Haha, thanks ianr... I did this last year and yesterday, it's an interesting exercise in itself as well as the whole project being a valuable bit of social history.
  22. Just spotted some swifts over North Dulwich, always makes my Spring to see them safely returned.
