  1. Hi James Both myself and another forumite have raised a similar issue and hoping that you can assist. Do you know whether there are any plans to introduce a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) to restrict parking on Jarvis Road once the new Charter ED school is open. Regards
  2. Big Joanie - Fall Asleep taken from their new album, Sistahs
  3. Collected a parcel on Thursday and noticed the collection card displayed extended opening times on most days but forgot to ask whether this was just for the Christmas period. However did inquire about whether there was still any outstanding post from Silvester Rd and they suggested that most of it should have been delivered by now due to having limited storage space.
  4. It was from the building contractors.
  5. Flyer received indicating the new Charter school East Dulwich will be opening in January 2019.
  6. New volunteers are required at Grove Vale and Dulwich libraries to assist in helping to run sessions including Baby and toddler , Adult Book group , Stories and Crafts etc. If you're interested and require more information please contact the Volunteers Programme Officer. [email protected]
  7. The new resurfacing has just been completed and looks very nice but in the process at least four parking spaces have been lost and there was no consultation on this.
  8. Have Royal Mail indicated what is going to happen to the backlog of undelivered post ? Have a new Postie / van driver and tend to see them delivering post daily . Have started using post office in Camberwell for sending letters etc albeit less convenient but uses different sorting office.
  9. Library should be open in December.
  10. Hi Dan As a longer term project have you considered applying to Cleaner Greener Safer programme ? https://www.southwark.gov.uk/engagement-and-consultations/grants-and-funding/cleaner-greener-safer/about-cleaner-greener-safer
  11. Hi James Checked the site and noticed the works have now been extended by two weeks. Seems strange to be installing a raised table on such a small road. However the main concern is whether parking will still be available on this stretch of road once the school / hospital are open.
  12. Crisis registration is still open. Here's a useful link for other potential Volunteering opportunities. https://londonist.com/london/christmas-in-london/where-to-volunteer-in-london-at-christmas

Noticed earlier today that a lorry has again caused damage to the same section of this building.
  16. You can take them to Southwark's recycling centre on the Old Kent Road. You'll need to show proof of residence http://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/recycling/recycling-centres/reuse-and-recycling-centre
  17. Hi James Just googled the dimensions of the new Grove vale library which will be 230m2 compared to the current 144m2. From the 86m2 difference how much larger space for books will there be once the dimensions of the caf? and meeting room have been subtracted ?
  18. Hi Terri I noticed that the Feminist Library near to Elephant & Castle is a drop off point for a similar scheme ,Bloody Good Period . Maybe there might be an opportunity for both organisations to collaborate / support each other. Magda is the contact person at the Feminist Library. https://www.bloodygoodperiod.com/
  19. Hoping to drop off some supplies at your event on July 7th. Such a worthy cause.
  20. Sorry to hear about your plight. Martin Lewis, Consumer Activist offers some advice https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/consumer-rights-refunds-exchange/
  21. Melbourne Grove (South side) is closed from Chesterfield Grove to Blackwater Street whilst resuracing is carried with diversions in operation. The signs have indicated work should be completed today and a tow zone in place but still lots of cars parked.
  22. Really pleased at Dulwich Hamlet's promotion in spite of the recent setbacks. Up the Rabble.
  23. Thanks James for all your hard work and input in the good , bad and indifferent changes to the area . Always found you willing to engage in conversation even if some of the topics were challenging. Wishing you all the best and hope your successor is similarly proactive, only time will tell.
  24. Someone has fly tipped loads of pieces of wood , kitchen units etc in front of the former Angel Upholstery , on Melbourne Grove . I've reported to Southwark council. Hopefully not linked to the earlier post about fly tipping.
