  1. I think coaches would have trouble turning into the gates from the road
  2. I will, Someone on the other thread said they see her on Half Moon regularly too. I'm glad the police are taking it seriously. I was under the impression they couldn't do much about it. My dog got bitten earlier this year in an unprovoked attack, required stitches etc, I got the owner's number and she did cough up so that was ok but I subsequently found out through the doggy telegraph that her dog has bitten other dogs and she still has it off lead and un-muzzled. She acted all shocked at the time and said her dog had never done it before...
  3. In answer to the question directed at me: I have seen her in Dulwich Park, I have seen her on Half Moon Lane and I have seen her walking through the Village. I am aware of her since the other thread about the dog attack so I notice when I see her and the dogs now. I'm often with my dog so take a wide berth.
  4. Definitely fits the description of the woman mentioned and photographed in another post about dog attacks. I see her regularly - she has 2 white staffies. Really awful that she continues to allow her dangerous dogs to attack.
  5. Gawd help us indeed. Defensive much! Nothing to do with me what you spend your money on uncleglen but I am entitled to my opinion on private education. I've been walking down Townley road for nearly 20 years and the coaches have got much, much worse over the last few. I do appreciate more coaches means fewer cars (what is wrong with public transport though) but it is the number of coaches, illegally and dangerously parked, with their engines running that needs to be addressed.
  6. As far away as Kensington and Canary Wharf... How about having schools that serve their communities instead of egos and purses oh sorry silly me, that's another whole argument. hahahhahahahahahahaha
  7. All I do with the quorn chicken chunks is fajitas; sliced peppers, onions, garlic, quorn chunks, fajita seasoning. Wrapped in tortillas with guac and yoghurt. Quick and easy meal.
  8. Seitan no good for the gluten free brigade. I gave my dog a bit of a quorn sausage and she instantly threw it up :-)
  9. I of course have had no response from any of the recipients of my email. Don?t get me started on the day-to-day problems, caused by the school traffic, for the close residents... I would practically welcome a CPZ (that?s how bad it is) but have been told by Alleyn?s bursar they would ?fight it all the way? if I lobbied the council to have one put in place. Charming!
  10. photos for those that asked to see
  11. It was crap well before the M&as arrived.
  12. I was going to suggest in my email the school make use of its extensive grounds for coach parking but this was primarily about the illegal parking and didn?t want to go on too much of a rant. 😁
  13. Thought you lot might be interested in the email I sent to Southwark parking, Alleyn's school and Redwing coaches today :-) Today (6th Nov) as you will see from the photograph attached, a Redwing coach was parked illegally on the footpath blocking the northbound side of Townley Road. Access to and from the pedestrian refuge was also impeded. I asked the driver to move but he gestured that I should go around the pedestrian refuge on the wrong side of the road. I pointed out it was illegal for me to do so and that he should move as he was blocking the road. He shrugged and said ?I?m not going anywhere?, turning his back and refusing to engage any further. Because of this parking I was forced to make an illegal and dangerous manoeuvre in order to continue my journey. As I drove away, after taking the photo, I was jeered at by other coach drivers which made me feel harassed and intimidated. It is unacceptable to have this many coaches lining the street at school collection time. I am aware there is provision for some coach parking on the road but as you will see from the photograph the number of coaches far exceeds the space allowed. This congestion causes danger for pedestrians, mostly children at this time of day, and other road users, e.g. cyclists. As the weather is getting colder the coaches now sit with their engines running for long periods of time and this contributes to poor air quality around the school. I look forward to a response.
  14. OMG, that's amazing - what link? How do you know?
  15. Daughter has just lost her phone somewhere between Goose Green and East Dulwich Grove. Hoping someone with a conscience that also looks on here finds it... If you do please PM. Fingers crossed
  16. The tap water is fine.
  17. Ken's - Half Moon Lane.
  18. I haven't read the whole thread, only the first few posts but THANK GOD (if he or she exists) finally this is being policed. Why the F do people think they can drive up that bus lane if they're turning left? It's a bus lane FFS. ooh diddums it's a bit tricky having to wait to turn left if there's a bus coming up the bus lane. TOO EFFING BAD. Follow the rules of the road. Pisses me off all the time when twats buzz up the inside when I'm waiting to turn at the proper time. Obviously I am a pillar of the community and you should follow my example.
  19. Hi James, Just to add to Theron2's points above; I am also a resident affected by these works. I have had to speak to various contractors on several occasions now for starting works before the legal 8am time. One morning recently there were diggers moving around at 7.20am. Alleyn's were informed (as were the council) and although they apologised and said they would speak to the contractors, it happened again not long after. Another point - with this road closure we have motorbikes travelling up the pavement outside our house, clearly dangerous but presumably not a lot can be done to stop the idiots who think it's ok to do that. I objected to these temporary classrooms being located here, the acres of space on the Townley Rd side of the grounds would have been more suitable. This street is already massively congested (during term-time...) and we have been putting up with major construction on their site for a good 5 years now.
  20. Mine was out on and off for pretty much that whole week, TV and internet. Whilst I understand it was a serious issue they had to fix my beef is the appalling Customer service I received. It took me over 30 minutes on the phone, passed to several different people and having to really stamp my feet to get a - wait for it - ?7 credit on my account for loss of service. Thanks Virgin.
  21. They are a normal occurrence but what was unusual this instance was, it was night, they were circling the area, and they had no lights on.
  22. Someone's cables being loosened in ED affects Virgin services for miles around?????
  23. This cat has been outside my house for a few days. It is meowing all the time but is very timid and I can't get near it. I've put food out for it which is being eaten. I suspect perhaps owners have moved and left it behind. Does anyone recognise it?
  24. Virgin media. I've just done a speed test and it struggled to get to 4mb/s... I'm supposed to get up to 50. I can't bear phoning Virgin - customer service is appalling.
