  1. What a lot of body fascists on here. So what if people want to get tattoos, either 'artistic statement' or 'fashion accessory'. Their lookout really isn't it.
  2. "saw it happen about a year ago to a woman" Really common then......
  3. any cafe round here will serve you a slipper - fine but not a french omelette. Do it yourself if you want french style.
  4. park - kids - knives - action
  5. I'm of the understanding that people travel to tattoo parlours on the word of mouth recommendation for the tattoo artist. You can open a tattoo parlour where you like but if no one is interested in the artists you have then you'll just be doing trade in tiny butterflies on the shoulder or tramp stamps......Fair enough but maybe not sufficient to sustain a business. PS - my son wants to be a tattoo artist maybe he can come and do work experience with you when you open.
  6. A kilt only looks good if it's the right length and too often it isn't.
  7. Spend all that money on their education only for them to get blown up? seems a waste - surely captains of industry serve our country better.
  8. I've been a couple of times now (please excuse my lack of imagination). Pasta is good IMO but I know others who don't like it as it's a bit too 'whole'. Menu is a bit restricted for non-meat eaters so have only had the olive oil and garlic sauce with the pasta. They do it well for a very minimal sauce. I had a pizza there yesterday that I thought was really good. Not sure what Fazer's on about, pizza was a tad more authentic than the ones in Pizza Express that actually bear little relation to pizzas in Italy. Got nothing against Pizza Express either - you know what you're gonna get, nice and safe. Not really worth getting worked up about it one way or the other.
  9. Agree with you on that Tillie, even if he's a bit scatty with the service.
  10. Why not get the council to investigate? They'll come and look through the rubbish for evidence of who is responsible.
  11. To add to the statistics I will say that although Frasier never made me laugh out loud (apart from one episode but I think I was in an altered state and can't now remember why it was so funny), I did like watching it. We only had 5 channels then though. Curb Your Enthusiasm irritated me, it's got wobbly camera syndrome, and I don't think I've ever seen Seinfeld.
  12. I'm voting YES. Obviously the tories don't want AV as they are well aware they will win fewer seats. It doesn't necessarily mean more coalitions and IMO minority governments are no bad thing as it means they are less able to bulldoze unpopular bills through parliament.
  13. yes they did
  14. http://johannhari.com/2011/03/29/the-biggest-lie-in-british-politics] Just thought I'd throw this article into the mix
  15. My son was the same, the books referred to it as 'evening colic' because of the timing. it stopped around three months.
  16. Bloody annoying in the mornings and afternoons on the school run with busy pavements including lots of small kids and a family on bikes are weaving their way through. They should get off and walk the bikes. I'm all for encouraging cycling but I don't think it's really on for adults to cycle on pavements regardless of how much 'care' they are taking and kids should be encouraged to push the bike when the pavement is busy. 'Without due care' is a bit open to argument.
  17. yes please!
  18. Well, it would appear you've given us all the information anybody could possibly know without being directly involved. And if they're directly involved I doubt they'll be posting about it. Hey ho.
  19. Mr Asset gone to the match. Sadly I predict a pasting for Scotland.
  20. Just googled them, quite exotic looking
  21. Pet insurance doesn't cover immunisations. I had my cats inoculated when they were kittens but no boosters. They are 8 and 9 and are outside cats, never been ill.

    Census Forms

Got ours today. Have to say I was totally oblivious to the fact there was going to be one!

    Funeral costs

As far as the actual service goes - that is up to the family anyway how things are to be done. You can get nice raffia or cardboard coffins that aren't too expensive, can be draped with nice material also. Friend of mine was cremated recently in a cardboard coffin that all the kids that new him had drawn pictures on, really touching and personal.
