  1. The Actress at the top of NCR does.
  2. Yep. Had to close my kitchen doors.
  3. D'awwwwww... the face on him! Reminds me of one of my cats, but he's clingy & rarely leaves the house (currently snuggled up in bed). I do hope this little fella's okay!
  4. Are the prices really any different to that of the Hope & Greenwood we had on NCR? I spend most of my time around Regent St & Covent Garden partly for the enjoyment of shops like this - like Passiflora said, you're paying a little extra for the experience. We don't have any other victorian style candy shops within close proximity. Some may not wish to spend the extra money for that experience however it is a very convenient place to pick up edible gifts for a special occasion... unless of course you want to hop next door into M&S & pick up those hideously inedible looking things they call "chocolate" in a gift box. There is a lot of overpriced tat on LL but for me... Mr Simms isn't one of them.
  5. I can highly recommend Pb (https://www.proboards.com/) from my personal experience. I have to agree with Mark (& apologies) but this forums format is a little lacking.
  6. The Neighbourhood Vet on LL between Barclay's ATM & Co-Op. I took an injured bird & it was able to make a swift recovery. They treated the little thing fast & updated me with the good news within an hour. The bird was then sent to a Wildlife Rescue organization.
  7. Could one of these things be what I witnessed the other night? It flew silent & remained static in the sky for a good 2 minutes before taking off. I would have dismissed it as a helicopter had it been making a buzzing sound, but it wasn't.

No, you certainly were not. You & your like destroyed a perfectly fine thread promoting a perfectly legit business, attacking a positive review & falsly accusing me of being the owner - all because of an enthusiastic comment on the opening? Ha! There's something severely wrong with you.

Yes, being a 5ft2, 92lb female. I can really see that happening. But having taken pictures of the incident as opposed to the standing gormlessly by like the "men" in there were, as these boys (yes, I will stand by my statement) attempted to get aggressive with the security guard; The only people who attempted to do anything about it (other than the security guard) were the 2 young females (myself, the blonde who recorded the entire incident) & the female cashier - hilarious since the guy who stood by was over 6ft tall in workout clothes, but didn't bother to put his physique to any use whatsoever. - As a side note, it's typical behaviour of the men in this area. Jogging around & staring gormlessly as drama kicks off is clearly the new East Dulwich look.
  10. I understand that cannabis is (currently) illegal, but I don't think you need to state that it's cannabis to make your point. I too hate having my doors/windows open when my neighbours are smoking, regardless of what it is, I just hate breathing in second hand smoke in my own house. Furthermore, it's followed by the constant sound of coughing (like ...?!)
  11. It's officially open now. Very impressive assortment of confectionery.
  12. To the 10-15 boys who were just caught stealing bottles from Tesco's Local; white, dressed in football attire, whiny cockney accent, aged around 16-21... you may have legged it (to the bus stop on the LL side of East Dulwich Rd, but you were recorded in full (thanks to the other blonde girl) & multiple pictures were taken ("smile for the camera, b***s!"). If this sounds like your offspring, you may wish to polish up on your parenting skills.
  13. It looks like dustbins have replaced suitcases & are becoming the latest trend; I can't tell you how many people I saw dragging them down the street today.
  14. I think we need Lord Varys in these troubling times. I wonder what he'd say about all of this...
  15. Maybe they should improve their self scan stations before trying to force them onto customers; they can be a real pain at times & then I feel like I'm troubling the assistant (even though that's their job).
  16. I've been suffering with an eating disorder & severe panic attacks, bouncing from place to place for the past 4 years. I wish I could find the quality of service I only ever get from Guy's A&E. I can't tell you how many times I've been misdiagnosed at Nunhead, which have plenty of doctors, but have left me with no choice but to do my own research online. Unfortunately I can't go to The Gardens surgery as it was previously owned by a close relative & have another close relative working there still (hence why I was kicked off the list). Many of the good doctors I used to see at The Gardens have left but I believe there are still a couple of good ones (which is more than I can say for Nunhead). - I know this sounds a little off topic in regards to your initial post but my point is that even the surgeries with plenty of doctors seem pretty unqualified to be working in this field & makes me wish I followed my relatives footsteps in becoming a doctor myself.
  17. I agree with everything Rosetta has said. Celia Hammond are very good when it comes to handling strays, but if you are able to take him in yourself, then I highly recommend giving The Neighbourhood Vet on Lordship Lane (just between Barclays ATM & The Co-Op) a call. They have always been very friendly & helpful. Owners really need to understand the importance of spaying/neutering their cats! 18. They came around this evening & whilst ours were collected, they were still missing a couple of houses. Has anybody managed to get through to the council & find out exactly what's going on lately? Bizarre. :S
  19. What a terrible shame! :( I hope he finds a loving new home.
  20. The Neighbourhood Vets on LL {near Barclays ATM} are very friendly & helpful. I'd suggest giving them a call.

But I didn't? I've lived in ED all my life, so surely my opinion counts & yours is not a reflection of ED as a whole.
