Natalie Doula replied to pilsbury's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi antantant, You didn't come across snotty at all, you were just asking a very valid question :) I shall mention the suggestions at the next parent forum. Thanks Fushia for the albrighton info. Have a lovely snowy weekend all. Thanks Natalie -
Is your new baby suffering from the discomfort of wind or colic? Then a Birth Baby Bliss wind and colic session, could help you both. At the one off session which is run in your own home you will learn about causes of wind, colic and other tummy problems. You will learn massage stokes to ease the discomfort and other techniques to help you and your baby manage the symptoms. To book a session or for more information call me on 07920 556569 or email [email protected] Thank you

Peck Rye One O Clock club - new sessions in 2013?
Natalie Doula replied to pilsbury's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi all, I am the baby worker at the children's centre . It is harder for the centre to provide sessions on a weekend, but I'll pass on the comments and maybe weekend sessions could happen later in the year. Enjoy the snow all. Natalie -
And yes HelenGV my biscuit intake has definitely gone up since reading this thread - thanks MothersInc :)

Hi fellow biscuit lovers, I am hoping that it doesnt snow tonight just so I can make a trip to sainsbo's to try all the biscuits recommended on this thread :)

Tips on using cutlery please!
Natalie Doula replied to Bellenden Belle's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Bellenden Belle, I found al dente pasta particulary the tubes (think its Penne) cut in half was a really good food for the little ones to push their fork into without losing it on the way to their mouth:) Good luck -
moving to cow's milk if your baby's not eating much
Natalie Doula replied to verds's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Verds Although cows milk is fine from 1 years old. As your daughter is not eating much you could combine formula and cows milk until her appetite picks up and also as oimissus suggested cut down her milk intake to encourage her to eat more. Good luck with it all :) -
Has to be the classic Bourbon and choc digestive yummy

Leaving toddlers alone to have their tantrum
Natalie Doula replied to WorkingMummy's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Working mummy, The only thing I would say about putting LO in the cotbed when having tantrums, is that it could make LO start to have a negative perspection of the cotbed i.e cotbed = place to have tantrums rather than a calm happy place to sleep :). My LO is 19 month and is having tantrums already! I have adopted the tactic of putting her in a safe, soft place to allow her to have the tantrum and vent her frustration. All children are different, but with my LO if I acknowledge and then ignore the tantrum it subsides a LOT quicker :) Good Luck Natalie -
Hi With my first felt I could only use big brands so used huggies which were great. But with my second and less money :) decided to try own brands. Found that Sainsbury's new born were fantastic, but as she got older they seemed really bulky and now prefer Tesco or Asda. But as others have said you just have to see what suits your baby best. Good Luck

Hi, I have been there with my 7 year old and my 1 year old. I didn't think my 1 year old would like it BUT she really enjoyed it as they have quite a good area for under 4/5 year olds. It has scooters, ball area. I think it is worth the trip and a change from Gambabdo. Natalie x

Hi Nicnos, I found that by getting someone else to give the bottle at first made a big difference. This doesn't usually mean someone else always has to give the feed it just means that baby gets used to milk from the bottle without the smell of you and your milk which can often be the reason for the baby not wanting to take the bottle from you. As Fuschia says it is also down to persistance. Good Luck and keep trying :)

How soon after birth do you...
Natalie Doula replied to Natalie Doula's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Wow well done to you MrsP! I suppose if it happens soon after one baby and you know you want more then the gap really doesn't matter :) Natalie -
How soon after birth do you...
Natalie Doula replied to Natalie Doula's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I know what you mean about close age gaps. I'm going to have a 16month gap and for me that feels like a close age gap can't imagine an 11 month gap! :) Natalie -
