I'd like to reiterate comments above from Helen (who's message I read in order to contact Paul Edgley. December was extremely hectic at ours as is the case for mkost families. I needed to get several appliances delivered and fitted in a short space pmof time in time for Christmas. Paul attended at short notice, was faced with not the easiest workspace and conditions to work in and an archaic fuseboard. The greatest challenge was getting a new range cooker fitted for gas and electric. Paul attended at short notice, was quick to work out what needed to be done and fitted wiring and two switch boxes in a short space of time and got the range cooker working in time for our Christmas. He charged reasonably, is deeply knowledgeable, experienced and competent, does not waste any time, and gave great advice for what else we need to sort in the near future and was literally a sparky santa in that he saved Christmas for our family. We'll be using Paul's services again and recommend him hugely to anyone needing an electrican. Thanks Paul! Paul Edgley 07802 627967

ok-maybe the link i made is somewhat tenuous, but i did say "some"-we are all materialistic even I- some irony here that your user name is ???? :-) Huggers I never said we should stop caring for our environment-I said this is an act of vandalism-as a result why not inform the police instead of a community warden who are sadly as useful as a chocolate radiator. Well done also to all the children around the world who were sponsored for Haiti-i didnt belittle their achievements or effoorts. Perhaps i was mistaken in thinking i would have got a better response on this forum-i wasnt expecting 100s of responses, but some discourse positive or negative would have been good. One can be concerned for Haiti one"s local area and daffodils-I just feel right now Haiti is more important.

142 posts (now 143) about daffodils-wow! A charity swim for Haiti receives 5 posts. This just highlights to show the superficial and materialistic nature of some of people who now live in east dulwich/peckham. Daffodils are beautiful, but if there were not any daffs at all in east dulwich or peckham rye-my heart wouldn't skip a beat. Removal of the flowers was a form of vandalism so in that respect well done for highlighting the issue-however the people who carried out this act most probably are not the type that can read so posting this is almost futile in that sense. Also you sought help from a southwark warden. Haven't the poor daffodils got enough problems without one of them trying to help?

You have my sympathy. Southwark parking wardens are terrible. I got a penalty charge notice for sitting in my car for five minutes while i waited to pick my friend up. This was on a closed off road on elm grove-there is no traffic whatsoever there-there are no cars there!!!!!! Their cameras spotted me for being parked over 50cm form the double yellow. Didn't even get out the car. If you know the area you will know this is daylight robbery. I would rather be mugged for ?60 as I would feel less violated...
