  7. Hello, We have Angel Care motion sensor. We have a large cotbed and followed the instructions I.e placed in the centre of the mattress with a piece of plywood. My little one rolls around a lot in her sleep and the monitor keeps going off. It's driving me mad as its constant false alarms. My lO sleeps in her own room so we have to get up to switch it off. Just wondered if anyone had any troubleshooting tips for this? Getting to the point I want to switch it off!!
  8. Hello I have a 6 month old. Since she was born my husband and I have only been out once for a few hours while my parents babysat on a visit home. I have no family within the vicinity of where I live. We would like to have an evening off but because my little one is so small I can't bear the thought of leaving her with a third party. Just wanted to know if anyone had there little ones babysat and how they found it?I am greeting to stage where I need to consider this as I will need to pop into work etc over the next few months and don't have anyone I can really rely on locally. Would appreciate any help or advice you can offer.
  9. Hello, I haven't a clue about resorts bu I need one which can provide baby kit e.g sterilisation stuff, cot but also has facilities for grown ups e.h spa would be nice. Also when is a good time to go? I don't want to go when it's super hot.
  10. Hello thinking about taking my 6month old to the above. Has anyone gone here with a baby? Any recommendations on resort and flights? Many thanks L
  11. I have just had my first LO and have found myself feeling very similar. I joined baby groups, did nct but like everything it takes a while to get to know people and I find I have to make a real effort. It's tiring. The nice thing is with old friends you don't have to make to make an effort. It's relaxed and easy. A lot of my friends have had kids but I don't see them as much as I would like. Everyone is time short. I am not back at work yet and have to remind myself this is a special time which I won't get back but it's hard sometimes...
  12. Wow thanks for the advice. I definitely feel a bit more confident about going long haul now. We were thinking Caribbean. Just hope LO is ok on the flight...
  13. Yes really helpful and thanks for the offer. We use Hipp to.
  14. yes all this advice is really helpful. Thanks. did you guys go long haul? any tips regarding destination? Good tip regarding pre ordering the formula at the airport.
  15. Hello, We are thinking of taking a long haul holiday with our little one. She will be around 8 months when we go. We haven't decided on a destination but wondered if anyone had any tips? Particularly on the practical aspects of bottle sterilisation. We were thinking of taking formula cartons as a bit worried about the water situation but this will then add extra weight to suitcases. Any advice re destination or bottles would be welcome L
