  3. Ordered from there for the first time today. They are wonderfully polite and accommodating. Seem really pleased to receive your business which is not something you can say for so many companies these days.

  5. I am moving to a new flat and new a phone line installed. Rang shitty BT and they want ?125 for installing it plus they can't do it for nearly 3 weeks. Do ANY of the other phone companies actually install new lines or does BT have a monopoly?

  7. Is anyone here going to this? http://www.timeout.com/london/books/event/141558/andrew-motion.html
  8. That's really helpful LegalBeagle - thanks. I didn't realise G&B accepted people just for coffee; I had thought you had to come in to get pissed/drink wine ;)
  9. Anyone know of a local cafe that has: 1. Decent coffee 2. Plugholes so that I can plug in my laptop while I write? (My laptop battery has a short life span when not plugged in) Cheers :)
  10. I mean when people go on about this stuff in 'real life' not on EDF.... 11. Before you flame me, I'm not suggesting that your kids are boring. I am asking whether any other childless people reading this sometimes find the whole buggy-pushing, baby-talk stuff utterly mind-numbing?
  12. Like some of you, I'm also a coffee snob. Strangely when I was snowed in recently and out of coffee and the only thing available to me was cheap instant coffee - I was able to easily say no and do without. So perhaps I'm not exactly addicted to coffee, just addicted to high quality coffee;-)

Dead giveaway. It was a tough call.
  14. I'm toying with the idea of giving up coffee (again) and I'm keen to hear about other people's experiences with caffeine withdrawal and so on. I currently drink one or two very large black Americanos per day. When I've given up coffee before (by going cold turkey) I've ended up feeling tired, depressed and unable to poo. My reasons for wanting to give up coffee are that it makes me anxious and unable to sleep. Have you successfully quit coffee? Did you feel better - or worse - once you'd quit? :))
  15. I am heading to Chener immediately to see this for myself!
