  1. i think you have to judge it by the individual but i'm also dead against pretending that it's all great as that too is a lie and been a repeated lie for years. some women are more shocked when having believed that it would all go to plan not only does it not but it is also quite horrific. it's a shame to spoil the fun of being pregnant so judge who you are talking to, but there's no point lying either.
  2. is it possible to ask the post office if there's any footage of the thief in the act?
  3. yes, the blessed 149 which fills quickly, leaves quickly and is followed quickly (well that is my personal experience every day so sorry if it clashes with anyone else's opinion of the 149) i am that rare thing, born londoner who doesn't hate bendy buses. the rest of the world that cares to interest itself in London looks on at us and laughs (i know this for fact) at our reaction to them.
  4. now you're cooking on gas! i think we need to open with an iceland party platter, moving on to a somerfield quiche with salad (or is salad too posh?) finishing with a treat from greggs. mama, the grand is mine, all mine ....
  5. so what's on the menu kids? waiter, is there a moderator around to keep this thread on topic... come dine with me is great road crash telly, i'd love to see an east dulwich/camberwell episode. a great chance to snoop around other people's houses!
  6. antijen, can you not understand that possibly both sides have been heated and that in this case you have stoked those flames as much as the next person on this thread? shouting at the moderator when you can just p.m. adds to the anger and energy. basically you don't agree with some people, they don't agree with you. this is a forum in a suburb of south east london, not the UN, some people read responsibility and immunisation differently but no one has frog marched anyone to the GP to get a jab done that they don't want. however, if you are going to put a link up on a public site to support your argument it is no ones fault but you're own that you didn't research it. i am sorry to post directly back to your last comments but that is all i'm doing: responding to that last post, this is in no way a personal attack on your beliefs and not meant to be.
  7. domiti anus doing such a good job at keeping the happy reputation of no bitterness on this forum alive....
  8. naive might be a better word. i assume that it is hard wired into all teenagers dna and onwards to try and get out of paying fares.

  10. i'm gutted as i really wanted the kids to go but they'll be at .... DKH nursery when it's on! sod...
  11. to be fair, heidi hi was just responding to my questions. i gave my kids the one MMR offered to all kids, i stated my case earlier, but heidi hi was not saying that the NHS should do anything she was explaining to me how she understood unlicensed clinics can operate. sorry, just thought that i'd clear that one up...
  12. aha, i see heidi hi. is there anyway of finding out if the jabs on offer on the continent are the same as those offered at the unlicensed clinic. at which point you don't have to leave the country but could have the jabs. i had images of back street alleys, not just that these were drugs available on the continent. but i still don't understand how an 'unlicensed' organisation/practice can offer medication. i am clearly suffering of brain mush at work ... does it mean that you have no recourse if something goes wrong? sorry, discussion of unlicensed clinics is clearly off topic and i shall stop.
  13. i think to limit. blimey, how worrying, unlicensed clinics. so does this mean that all parents who wanted the sequence of shots couldn't even go to a private guy down harley street? i have never had to go beyond the NHS for anything and i am always shocked to read about how standard unlicensed practice is, but for jabs?? i don't know why but i find that shocking. good luck, i hope that you find a solution for you but i highly recommend being protected, however square, unquestioning etc... that point of view may be. best wishes.
  14. my kids had the jab and like above they both healed with no problems. that was my experience with my twins who were under 12 months.
  15. oh yes we will ;)
  16. i'm happy to read that all those that vaccinate their children, clearly blinded by a government conspiracy fueled by profit margins of pharmaceutical firms, are helping all those that chose not to vaccinate (still in the minority) by ensuring that their children are not surrounded with as many germs as measles etc...i'm happy to know that i made all your consciences feel better whilst exposing my children to an evil western fabrication. that would make me the dunce in the room for feeling a certain notion of responsibility towards other children in the world. unless there are individual medical concerns in which case... heidi hi: i know that the choice does exist to have the jabs separately, but i'm pretty sure you will only have the private option unless there are very strong medical grounds.
  17. yes, but the comment about the kettle crisps earlier was genius... so who knows what will open but what we can guarantee is that this forum will argue about it.
  18. adding to the wise words of brum but on the more boring issue of money: insurance often requires that you have fire alarms these days. i know that our buildings insurance is not valid without them.
  19. not being a great 'articulator' i was thinking more in terms of since the economic crash there does not seem to be a debate regarding alternative systems or ways of ordering things. i wondered whether this is part due to the fact that there are no 'philospohers' (for want of a better word to describe people who are turned to for an opinion as that's what they do, think). but fair play huguenot, it's true, legacy counts for a lot. but i remain surprised at the lack of any new ideology rising from the financial ashes. trying to maintain the status quo seems to have been the only outcome.
  20. hi thanks for coming on and introducing yourself. are you going to be taking opinions and views from people like the station manager thread/local councillor thread, or are you simply introducing yourselves? thanks
  21. has the paper recycling bin been removed from the pavement outside the exit? i know it's full sometimes but i can usually push mine in...
  22. what a truly bizarre story
  23. that's it, thanks!
  24. i went and checked on the WHO website and they said pretty much the same but had the whole incubation period down to 11 days. many thanks for the post ann.
