  6. Return it. He had made up his mind, checked tech. details, read reviews etc - at least my other half would not enjoy the 'wrong' one very much.
  7. How can you, James Barber, name and shame somebody in public for having a house extension? What they do is legal, they have permission and you are creating a storm against people, giving their full address and name here. I can see it is disturbing to the neighbours, inconvenient for a lot of people in the area. But this bashing in public is just over the top and not justified.
  8. A great cookbook here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/1840915587/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1384536646&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165 Thai Street Food David Thompson As a professional he might like the amazing photos too.
  9. I constantly take notes or lphone shots of books l want to read. In december l pass on my wih list. I'd like loudspeakers for lphone and lpad. Wire less so l can turn up the volume whereever l go in my house. Tickets for concert or opera, even cinema would be nice.
  10. Hot wheels and tracks. Knights, dragons and even some animals from Schleich. They are hugley expensive but sturdy and my son (7) plays in different voices with them. And story CDs, he loves listening to them. But niw l need ideas, as we already have all that ;-))

  13. Somebody out there for coffee and chat?
  14. Looking for a tutor for the 11+ exams in January. Personnal recommendation highly appreciated!
  15. Don't let them do whatever they want! Re-appeal! I had an unjustified ticked. My appeal was rejected, last chance for me was to attend a hearing in lslington. Had all the warnings about extra costs ect. A lawyer grilled me but figured out the ticket was completely unjustified and unlawful. Southwark will try and fine everyone for everything. Stand your ground!
  16. Hi, we once hired a community hall and had a two hours get together. Toys, cakes, juice, but our kids were only little (around 4 years) Everybody paid two pounds to cover the costs. Otherwise a trip into town, one of the great museums without the half term crowds. enjoy
  17. A few weird comments l read here. Malcom complained about careless and dangerous drivers only. Descibing a particular incident at the described location. Nothing more in my opinion. Malcom is absolutey right about this. Be all careful, watch and listen, some idiots have a driving licence!
  18. Looking forward to go to work tomorrow morning at 11. See you. Anybody who wants to join us is welcome.
  19. Hi, I came with my two kids to make a spin painting. Great fun, all going atmosphere and a good coffee for me. I can highly recommend it! enjoy

  21. Hi, look here, we are going to meet up on Friday in East Dulwich: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,1179001
  22. What a brilliant idea! You and your husband have a pretty good plan to get some extra 'me-time' for each of you. Really great! Wished we had something similar. Anyway, I would: - check all time-out offers - check Citylit and Morley college for day courses - get a friend to join you - go to a talk our tour in the Tate, Portrait Gallery, V&A ... - autumn day in Richmond Park or a good walk in Beckenham Place park - a trip to Petersham nurseries (Richmond) and a walk along the Thames - check out meet-up (online platform for all kinds of interest groups) - theatre, ballet, cinema matinee - a book in a great breakfast cafe in town - walk from Camden along the Regents Chanel to Little Venice - explore Boroughs of London you don't know well (for me, all of North London) - avoid shopping, leaves me miserable every time. Especially when I try to treat myself I'd better stop here. Enjoy yourself!
  23. Argg, l can't do Wed! Could we do thursday or friday instead?
  24. Oh, poor you. That is a hard decision to make. I feel gor you. Have a look at the german kindergarten in the dietrich bonhoeffer church in FH. It's new, they used to have one in dulwich but openend a second one over there. My son went to the dulwich one and he loved every minute. Excellent staff, carefully planned day, lots of garden time, fun and happy children. Really good. My son went to Nelly's as well, but this is nothing compared to this one. Don't be put off by not being/speaking german. A lot of kids had no german background. I can wholeheartly recommend it.
